Lincoln Project founder Steve Schmidt said Friday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was a “villainous figure” who should be “locked in a basement office until he wishes to testify.”

Discussing McCarthy not cooperating with the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021 riot on the U.S. Capitol, Schmidt said, “What Kevin McCarthy has become is this villainous figure that is among the most villainous figures that have been in the history of the American republic. He has played a profoundly important role over this last year through the lying, through the cover-up, of poisoning faith and belief in democracy.”

That's his Lincoln Project cofounder John Weaver, who was also a registered foreign agent for Russia on behalf of TENEX (subsidiary of Uranium One of Clinton Foundation fame) while working with Schmidt. Schmidt claims he himself was sexually abused in Boy Scouts and claims he talked about it with pedophile Theodore McCarrick (at least he claimed this after Weaver got exposed), but hasn't been outed as a gay pedo himself. Just for getting funding from one of the top financiers of the gay rights movement, Pierre Omidyar. And for being a con man.

The online sexual harassment allegations against Weaver surfaced in mid-January 2021 when several male survivors came forward with their accusations. It was reported by NYT that Weaver would often send such provocative messages with offers of employment or political leverage. In fact, one of the victims was reportedly underage when Weaver first messaged him.
