[[And you know that how? I thought so - you don’t.]]

Yeah ok- As i said- educated guess- backed up by some studies-

“In response, Carlson said: “The spokesman didn’t dispute that we showed accurate data from the CDC, including that 85% of people who tested positive for coronavirus in July reported wearing a mask always or often.”

CDC is beyond a useless joke. After nearly 2 years into the pandemic they suggest upgrading to a better mask. What a clown show. We give these dorks billions and it took 2 years to come out with an other useless mask decree.

Why don’t you, instead, show what they do protect from since you want people to believe your BS claims

Sounds like you have nothing to support your claim. I already posted multiple links to studies and manufacturer datasheets in this same thread. Why don't you read them and get back to me.

Because nothing in your silly claims what you claim it claims.

Now, run off wearing your silly mask. You look retarded when you wear a mask but that is just proper notification to the rest of the people around you as to your retarded mental state and it is only fair they get warned.

Why don’t you spend five minutes and look it up yourself?

I already did that. And I posted links to a research paper, 3M's datasheet, and information on NIOSH testing procedures. They all contradict your statement.

Nice try at avoiding admitting that you really don't have a clue and can't post a single link to any of the "40 studies".

You mistook me for someone who cares about your mask.

Show me documented clinical proof that a common mask, n95 or not stops, 90% of an actual coronavirus stream. You cannot. There are no such clinical tests. Most of them are the complete opposite, that the masks are ineffective. And yes I am an engineer and have been one for 34 years.

But they must be fit tested and worn properly. If all the N95 masks I see in the grocery store very few are worn properly. Once someone has a fit tested N95 on properly they won’t wear them. They are quite uncomfortable. The. there is the fact that the need to be replaced after each use. On top of that aim not sure how effective even a properly worn N95 is but if you want real protection it should be combined with a face shield gown gloves hair and shoe covers. Put that get up on and tell me how king you will
last - i can do it for 10–15 min tops. And health care workers are still getting sick by the dozens….

N95 masks have bee. used for years in the medical field. They are not surgical masks but are used for airborne respiratory isolation mostly for TB. They must be appropriately fit tested to mask type and size (ask any hospital worker they will tell you their mask type and size without having to think about it). Facial hair is a no no. They should be worn with other appropriate PPE and discarded after every use. No way that will happen outside a hospital

Well,
That’s the problem. Every time I get to wear a mask, I feel sick. With kind of coronavirus symptoms - shortness of breath, sweating, warm feeling. Plus the maskne.
But that’s not the question here.
The question was if the N95 give some protection - the answer is yes, some!
Also, if you do not want China stuff, there are US made ones available.

Also invaluabke at bedside of Hep C cases and the like. Many a time was I coughed on or sneezed out. Hospital issue N95 is fitted to your face by a worker who knows what they’re doing. None of the masks people are buying are equivalent.
