A federal grand jury has indicted Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby on federal charges that she made false statements on loan applications.
The indictment charges Mosby with four counts. One relates to a $40,000 withdrawal Mosby took from her city retirement account in May 2020, citing that she had experienced a financial setback due to the pandemic.

This is curious because democrats rarely go after their own. Mosby must have fallen out of favor or gone after the wrong person.

Prerequisite: "a thing that is required as a prior condition for something else to happen or exist."
I think the author of the article meant to write "prerequisite" rather than "perquisite," (Yahoo, what would one expect?), but in light of Mosby's skin color and position "perquisite" probably also works.
Maybe Raum Emanuel is free to help her out.

Wasn’t she’in trouble a few years ago in Baltimore? So her punishment was a bigger job at the state level?
It must have been a helluva truck to have to go to the slammer for 60 months. There had to be something else going on to get 60 months.
There is more to this story that isn’t being reported. The main claim is she took out a $40K early withdraw from her pension on false claims to avoid a federal $4K tax penalty. That is chicken feed.
Her government salary is a quarter million dollars per year.
Mosby is predictably going with the it’s racist angle in regards to her arrest.

No, nothing spectacular just lying on value of assets for a $40,000 vehicle. I think he must have pissed the judge off. Still in the slammer too so it’s not some sentence the off with good behavior.

IIRC she was also responsible for going after some LE in Baltimore as a racial vendetta to placate blacks after an incident involving the death of a prisoner in a transport van. She’s a real scammer, IMO.
