If the decision is made - and while I think it is likely at this point, this is just a newspaper reporting a rumour - yes, an appeal is possible.
But an appeal in time for him to play... unlikely.
Too bad all the other players don’t lay their racquets down and say en masse “if Novak is not playing, we’re not either.”

When the Immigration Dept cancels the visa, the person is taken straight away to detention. It is unavoidable as this is Australian law, unless the person makes a asylum claim.
Yes appeal against visa cancellation is possible, but the person involved will still be in jail while the appeal is considered ( for those making asylum claims they can stay in the community outside).
It is almost impossibe for Djokovic to play this years AU open if his visa is cancelled.
If the players had any courage they would all boycott the Open. But....follow the money. Courage of ones convictions are hard to find these days.
As Nadal’s response has shown. top ranked ATP players are selfish to the core and only care about themselves.

No, Alex Hawke doesn’t seem to be related to Bob - people have looked and if there is any relationship it’s either distant or down an unknown branch.
All of this drama and tyranny over a virus with a 99.99% survival rate for the vast majority of people. I warned people two years ago that once you give governments “emergency” powers like this, those governments don’t relinquish those powers easily. I honestly didn’t think it would get THIS bad, though.
I agree with you. I don’t like to see any country’s government acting so autocratically, whether it’s the U.S. or Oz.
