Sounds like a projection, in all honesty, my good friend. Here’s a list of a few of the actions taken by DeSantis, in just the last year, on issues that count. Several sound decidedly anti-deep state, to me.
Election integrity tops DeSantis agenda for the new legislative session (Nov 4, 2021)
During the next legislative session, DeSantis said that he will ask lawmakers to establish an Office of Election Crimes and Security within the Department of State that will accept election integrity-related complaints, investigate them and bring charges against those who violate Florida’s election rules. He will also ask lawmakers to increase ballot harvesting crimes from misdemeanor to 3rd-degree felony offenses.

DeSantis Signs Bill To Stop Censorship By Big Tech (May 24, 2021)
Florida is setting the example by doing everything in our power to stop the abuses that are possible when big tech goes unchecked. People have a right to express opposing views. This good bill protects candidates for elected office, media outlets and others from unfair and arbitrary discrimination on social media platforms.

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis held a meeting of the State Board of Administration where he, CFO Jimmy Patronis, and Attorney General Ashley Moody moved to revoke all proxy voting authority that has been given to outside fund managers, to clarify the state’s expectation that all fund managers should act solely in the financial interest of the state’s funds, and to conduct a survey of all of the investments of the Florida Retirement System to determine how many assets the state has in Chinese companies.

The first bill DeSantis signed, House Bill 7017, prevents agreements or contracts between public entities and the governments of seven “foreign countries of concern” — which include China, Cuba, Russia, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea and Syria.
The second bill, House Bill 1523, specifically targets corporate espionage — prohibiting the theft and trafficking of trade secrets and increasing the penalties for the theft of intellectual property.
