I wouldn't necessarily hold that against him, but it's completely disingenuous for him and/or his supporters to run around now in 2022 pretending he's a white knight standing up to protect Americans from government abuse during the COVID fiasco.
Could it be likely that DeSantis was just following Trump’s guidance, of requesting a “national shutdown” due to Covid? Certainly seems possible.
