As of January 11, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 10,123,764 while over 197,836,917 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 231,696 and 8,956,721 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 3,528,463 and 92,530 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 1,004,706 ), Tunisia ( 744,967 ), Ethiopia ( 446,268 ), Libya ( 393,983 ) Egypt ( 393,808 ) and Kenya ( 312,572 )
For the latest totals, see the AllAfrica interactive map with per-country numbers. The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.

So - total “excess deaths” year-over-year are what? That tells a bit more story, although the seasonal genocides that seem to be typical from time-to-time on the continent... those numbers are really hard to measure accurately.
1.2 billion people on the African continent.
230,000 deaths.
320 million people in the US.
800,000 deaths.
So?
In case you didn’t notice, that map is 6 months old. What’s the situation now?
So, Africa has almost four times the population of the United States, but has about one quarter of the deaths. And vaccination is only 25%. How can that be?
Sorry, I pulled the wrong one. See the one at the link.
I guess them killing each other with machetes and machine guns falls under covid also. Africa: Comorbidity if there ever was
LOL - if getting run over a bus, crashing a motorcycle, or losing a long battle with cancer can be counted as “COVID deaths” here in the US - - why not?
New Study Suggests Infection from Omicron Variant Can Enhance Immunity to Delta!
Researchers in South Africa have discovered that people who have been infected with the omicron variant of the coronavirus develop enhanced immunity to the older delta variant.
The conclusion is the result of a new study conducted at Durban-based Africa Health Research Institute involving 33 vaccinated and unvaccinated people. The scientists found that immunity against a further exposure to omicron rose 14-fold about two weeks after infection, while also discovering that immunity against delta improved 4.4-fold.
The scientists say the immunity is especially enhanced among those who are inoculated.
Alex Sigal, the study’s co-author, said on Twitter Monday that if omicron is “less pathogenic” as it appears, “then this will help push delta out,” making it possible
“the disruption Covid-19 has caused in our lives may become less.”
I...., I...., IV..., IVER...., IVERMECTIN!
(Now this administration will be after me...)
We have old people in the USA.
When all this started I suggested that we poll the HCQ users already taking HCQ and see how many have gotten sick or get sick in 6 mo. They kept saying it would take 5 years to have a double blind study of HCQ. HCQ is less than a couple of bucks a pill and Pfizer doesn't make anything off a generic pill. So we have numbers for Africa that is less than a quarter of America's death rate. India and Japan are doing well right now and they started Ivermectin last year as treatment.
Notice what is NOT talked about on TV?
And how many Christians killed in Nigeria ??!!! Where’s the outrage over that ??!
Living around Muslims is a comorbidity.
I have no idea.
I'm sure it's something to get hysterical about though. No doubt.
1) What are the numbers since most of the full vaccs were done in the US?
2) We are old and / or fat.
3) We have a much more mobile society.
4) We pursued policies that actually increased fatalities. See (for example): Mario Cuomo.
Population of Africa 2021: 1.37 billion
1,370,000,000 vs 230,000
