Days after the six-nation Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) answered Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's plea for help to quell nationwide unrest that began as protests against rising energy prices and grew into deadly clashes between protesters and security forces, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi spoke via telephone with Kazakh counterpart Mukhtar Tileuberdi to offer support.
"Wang said during the call that as Kazakhstan's permanent comprehensive strategic partner, China would like to express its firm support for the Kazakh side's efforts to maintain stability and end violence at a critical moment bearing on the country's future," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told reporters.

Let’s just keep our Wangs out of this.
But when Russia no longer wants help the Chinese will never leave.
Russia could and should have become our ally. Trump wanted to work towards this. But the left — in conjunction with the GOP establishment — in their zeal to destroy Trump, demonized and isolated us from Russia and sparked a 2nd Cold War.
Russians are the terrorists.
I suspect Russia will politely insist that China stay in its own lane.
It seems lately that anybody who is not happy with the government is a terrorist.
Kazakhstan calls those who protest their government “terrorists.”
You can’t blame them for borrowing the slimy tactics of the US left.
We can expect to see a Reichstag fire in short order.
BS...Trump slapped sanctions on Russia and threw out diplomats over the Russian spy poisoning. The added more sanctions as time passed.
Russia has beautiful women and, therefor, Russia should be an ally.
The Russian people are not terrorists.
