Never felt better about raising all our own meet, (chicken, pork, turkey, beef, lamb) and keeping lots of laying hens.(75)
Feed costs really haven’t increased yet.
Looks like I’m in good shape.

My local markets remain fully stocked.
But bacon is $8.99lb and 1/2 gallon of organic 1% milk costs $3.98.
Whole, organic chicken thighs are $3.49/lb.
Any organic whole grain bread is $5 a loaf.
Ouch.

Thank goodness I have chickens! They aren’t laying much right now though, due to winter.

My little farm here in MO has an old building that once was a small slaughter house and meat packing business... they did local beef cattle and in hunting season they did deer. Might come in handy some day soon. The deer congregate in my yard most mornings, grazing on the grass...
There was an old smokehouse but it fell into disrepair and we had it razed to the ground.... I wish that was still there!

We have local sources for eggs and milk, and have just found one for beef.
I grow my own veggies.
Living way out in the sticks works.

I have my meals prepared for me each week to pick up on Monday nights. I was just informed of their price increase (20%). Luckly I am prepaid for the next three months a week ago.

In my area, Chicken and Beef is limited. Pork and Turkey is still OK. Cream Cheese is just gone.

Any reason they have to raise prices, they will. It’s a domino effect... one does it, then they all do it.

If there’s a beer or liquor shortage, then wake me up. I have totes of canned and dry food + 6 containers of emergency food. A freezer full of elk venison and a 1/2 cow.

If we can’t get eggs, my husband will finally agree to get some chickens, and raise our own.

Indeed. All according to plan.
Fake pandemic, fake vaccines. Fake boosters. Purged military and medical professionals. Now a purged economy. Soon to be followed by no food, water or energy.
It’s a planned collapse.
