Officials in Kazakhstan have denied that a controversial 'military biological laboratory' was seized in the recent unrest.
Russian media highlighted claims that the US-funded facility near Almaty was compromised, resulting in a possible leak of dangerous pathogens.
The airport, mayor's office and secret services buildings fell briefly into the hands of rioters during a wave of protests backed by shadowy armed cells.
The Kazakhs said earlier that no US personnel remain involved in the lab's work, which included the study of Covid.

One of the problems with having weapons of mass destruction is keeping control over them when there’s a breakdown in civil and military authority.
If China falls into a civil war, it will be the first civil war where it’s possible both sides will have nukes. When one side gets forced into a corner, they will use the nukes. Imagine if Lincoln or Davis had nuclear weapons. They’d have used them to prevent the appalling numbers of deaths that were suffered at every battle.
Why are we financing labs in other countries?
Because what would be illegal to do on US soil can be done overseas.
So we use them sorta like we used those out of country "black sites" they used to do the waterboarding stuff, et al, on terrorists.

I read a book earlier this year about terrorists in one of the Stand that infiltrated a lab and released an agent that caused a zombie apocalypse...
