I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Federals have no arrows in their quiver to tame inflation.

Reagan inherited double digit inflation from Carter, and FED chair Volcker cured the inflation with double digit interest rates. Rates came down quickly once inflation got under control.

But now we have $30,000,000,000,000 national debt.
Just 5% interest rate would require $1500 BILLION in interest payments every year, money we do not have.

We are screwed!
