Commercials take up 27% of commercial television screen time and are the main source of income for TV and radio stations. In most cases, advertisements on all channels appear simultaneously, so don't try to change the channel, there will be commercials elsewhere, too. Nowadays they have also taken over the Internet. For a financial support, websites have to run ads on their pages, the largest share supplied and controlled by Google. Ads pry into your eyes, unceremoniously interfere with text, and on YouTube, in the most inappropriate places they cut into the action of films, lectures and concerts, tearing apart musical performances. There's no escaping commercials, we've grown accustomed to them, and they become almost as much a part of our lives as food, toilets, and sleep.
In the United States today, the White population (not including Hispanics) is 57.8%. In real life Caucasians are still in the majority, but now on TV and the Internet they are swept under the rug like trash. Blacks compose 14% of the U.S. population but appear in 50% of commercials. White actors now appear for promotion of health insurance, gold, loans and some medicines. Moreover, if a White person appears in a commercial, he/she is usually old, sick, a freak, or at the very least, an appendage to a Black partner. If there's a doctor on the screen, he's usually Black, while the patient is usually White. Caucasian young men appear in only 4% of the commercials! If some aliens began to study the population of Planet Earth through our TV commercials they would have a somewhat distorted picture of Americans, to put it mildly.
So why do advertisers ignore the long-standing rules of marketing, and to the detriment of their own financial interests,

Moving the goal posts. We’re talking about AMERICAN TV COMMERCIALS. South Africa has NOTHING to do with AMERICAN TV COMMERCIALS. There isn’t nearly as big a worm to turn here as there. You want to talk about history, look at South African history. Look at what the white people did to the non-whites, and tell the me the white’s aren’t lucky they didn’t just get flat out genocided.

Everyone here might be missing the simplest explanation. Maybe ad companies have determined which groups are more susceptible to ads and have targeted them.
Yep! Hubby and I talked about that. Suddenly, WHAM! Along with a few L’s and G’s thrown in. Use to see 2 women holding hands or embracing, I considered them mother and daughter. Now, not so much. They already have men kissing. And don’t start with the HIV commercials.

But you miss the point: Regardless of past injustices, real (as in South Africa, for example) or imagined (as in Fascist Germany, for example) when an influential segment of society wants to marginalize and subjugate, or even eliminate, another segment, it usually begins with what is happening now in contemporary America. Apartheid in South Africa was doomed to fail because of the imbalance of the demographics, and it collapsed from within. In Fascist Germany, however, demographics favored the oppressors, and it only failed because Germany eventually lost WWII. From 1939 to 1942 Germany was pretty much unstoppable, and its conquered nations accepted if not outright embraced the evils of Nazism. Germany lost WWII because it foolishly attacked the Soviet Union in June, 1941, and declared war on the US in December of the same year. Even at that, Germany ran roughshod over the USSR for a year before it crossed its own Rubicon, with fatal consequences. The world owes the USSR a big favor in repelling Barbarossa.
As for your comment about whites in SA not getting “genocided,” perhaps you may want to read up on what has happened to white farmers there. And that atrocity is not random; it is openly championed and encouraged by SA political leadership. Tell you what: Move to South Africa — with your family — and get a farm (if you even can, because the government will probably not allow you to), and let us all know how you made out. And don’t get me started on Rhodesia, because the white farmers there...oh, wait, there are none any more.

Originally the idea of Apartheid was that since the African and European societies were completely different it would be best to allow both to co-exist side by side without one interfering with the other.
Okay, on paper, maybe that made some sense. But the problem is that the black population was exploited and brought into the “European” world, for cheap labor, then forced to live in their sub-standard conditions. And that’s why Apartheid ultimately was an evil system.

Again, nice try. I don’t watch cartoons, so I don’t understand your comment about TV being “no longer 95% people.” Uh, yeah: The world has changed, and has always changed, and always will change. Tell me something that is not so obvious. But, sometimes the change is good, and sometimes it’s not. If the change is good, you embrace it; if it is not good, you either fight it or surrender to it, which could prove fatal. Either way — and to quote the inimitable Grace Slick — it doesn’t mean shit to a tree.
I have been making a list of the commercials who have excluded whites or show “HAPPY” multi racial couples.
Will boycott as necessary those products.
