Cruz may have destroyed any presidential ambitions that he may have had (personally I had already moved my support from Cruz to DeSantis before this), but let’s give Cruz a chance to rehabilitate himself. He can still play an important role in the Senate. Frankly, before Trump came along, he was one of the few Republicans willing to stand up to the establishment GOP. Although he may have damaged himself too much to be our standard bearer, he can still be a good soldier.

You can love Trump and Cruz at the same time. It’s allowed. We need guys like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. It’s a short list, but they will stand up for the Constitution. Not many left. You keep giving up on people for every misquote taken the wrong way, you’ll have nobody left.

“Conservatives” need to leave the swamp. Those who stay in the swamp and do the swamps bidding are NOT CONSERVATIVES, they only wear a mask when convenient.

No circular firing squad here, only life or death struggle; aid or abet these devils once and there’s no coming back. He might as well retire as far as I’m concerned. Trump’s statements yesterday should have set the tone.

You like Gov. DeSantis? Cruz is trying to help him right now. Give Ted a break. He knows he screwed up and admitted it. We still need him.

Maybe he was positioning himself to be an alternative to Trump in 2024. IF so, he miscalculated biggly.

Then you got nobody so just give up. You need to wake up! Typical Freeper attitude. If someone doesn’t do exactly what you want, you give up on him. You like this bill he introduced? I do. Was anyone else going to introduce it? Also - if you think you are alone with no help - run for office and do something about it. Otherwise, stop complaining.

Oh boy! Thanks Ted. Oh BTW, did you know Biden and the government cornered the market on them and you can’t get them……or are you only good for twitter 1 upsman insults? Useless Canadian posing as a Texan jerkoff!

Maybe. But it’s hard to figure how he could screw up so spectacularly. He’s a long way from being stupid, so there’s got to be some sort of strategery that he thought would work. Now that he’s my senator, I’m kinda curious just what the *** he was thinking!

Ooooh…introducing legislation! Like Congress has done anything except reap the awards of graft and bribery, and strong arm businesses for decades. What legislation is going to pass? What can even pass? Naming a bridge somewhere for George Floyd?

Back when the U.S. was a Republic, decades ago, this might mean something. But in the weird Red Fascist Oligarchy of the Deep State that we now have, he might as well engage in a farting contest with Eric Swalwell.

Maybe his crack team of handlers will suggest that next.

While I am not happy about Cruz’s comments, this business of the right throwing people under the bus for ONE indiscretion, is NOT helping.

If he is that much out of touch in the DC bubble he deserves the criticism. I was a supporter, but he has ended his career.
