OK, here’s the 2 things you need to know. 1st, from the story: “more infectious than omicron”. 2nd, virus mutate to become easier to spread while at the same time, tamping down their lethality. (As killing the host stops the virus from being spread). So, Omicron is like a cold, and THIS variant is easier to spread, meaning it’s even LESS lethal. I bet you only find out that you have this one via test.
