The hemi is dead, Jim! Sad day for Mopar!
No rational business would overhaul their complete business model this radically in such a short time for financial reasons. This appears to be more of an indicator that the world’s authoritarians are desperately speeding up their schedule.
Chrysler flopped before, it’ll flop again.
There will be a major push back in regard to electric vehicles for a few of reasons.
>Rare earth metal shortages.
>Expense to replace batteries. Expense of vehicle purchase.
>Electrical grid outages will hamstring consumers charging capabilities.
I’m a serious MOPAR gear head, but I won’t be buying any of their electric models. I’ll keep the old ones alive, as long as I can get parts, but no new ones for me.
In 2026 or 2027, I’ll look for a used 2024 Hellcat and that will be the last car I buy.
Jeep: 778,711 (Grand Cherokee - 264,444, Wrangler -204,610)
Ram: 647,331 (Pickup - 569,388)
Chrysler: 115,004
Dodge: 215,724
Fiat: 2,374
Alfa Romeo: 18,250
Good luck with that.
So you won’t release your first all electric until 2025, but then 3 years later will have zero internal combustion engines....
Well Chrysler brand directly makes 2 vehicles, that’s it anymore..... 300 and the Pacifica Mini van.
If they are saying nothing with a Chrysler name badge will have an internal combustion engine... that’s a whopping 2 models a present.
Dodge is down to 3 models left if memory serves, an SUV, and 2 Cars.. oh, and then the RAM trucks.
Then there is Jeep, which I think has 6 actual models...
If they are saying nothing but electric across all their brands, in 3 years, good luck with that.
If its hey, we will only sell an electric 300 and Pacifica... who cares?
Take government out of the mix and there would be NO electric vehicles.
This will be a spectacular failure.
I have a pretty pristine last edition Mercury Grand Marquis that I keep not selling. Think I’ll take some pains to store it better.
Stellantis? Is that itie for fool?
Well, buh-bye
After 25 years, the ownership cost for the three vehicles is as follows:
Tesla Model 3: $110,368
Toyota RAV 4: $111,464
BMW 3 Series: $151,880
https://www.self.inc/info/electric-cars-vs-gas-cars-cost/
worthless article and analysis but many many will chose the tesla based on the article because they don’t own a Thinking Cap.
I wonder what the envirojackasses intend to do with all those used batteries. Bury them somewhere in the Nevada desert?
25 years from now our car situation will be just like Cuba’s, keeping the old cars on the road.
Chrysler is determined to go bankrupt over and over and over again....
You only have to look at the accident stats, drive out there for a few hours and think about their plans to allow, probably, 750 million more new residents into the "country" to see this.
Single family homes, gonna be a thing of the past too.
Mercedes is also going 100% electric by 2030. Apparantly they see where this is all headed and the value in it. I do not think the master race Germans take dummy pills.

Well, I’ve wanted a Chrysler 300 for awhile now. Better get a used one before they go all electric, cause I’m in Texas and certainly have no reason for that crap.
