NYC Mayor Adams Vows to Crack Down on Guns, Gangs

New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday declared his administration would be targeting gangs and guns to bring down a rise in gun violence.
In an interview on ABC News’ “This Week,” the Democrat also vowed to reinstitute an anti-gun unit disbanded during Bill de Blasio’s administration.
“We're going to go after gangs, we're going to take down some of the large gangs in our city,” he vowed. “Whenever you see a shooting take place, look at the next line, gang-related. We're going to zero in on gangs.”

“And when I say we’re going after gangs, what I mean is that I intend to disarm all law-abiding citizens.”
How about: if someone commits a crime....they go to jail/prison.
Translation from demoghettobabble: We are going to take guns from those non-violent, peaceful honest citizens but leave them in the hands of violent, angry criminals so they can take what they want from those evil citizens.

He can start with the city’s legislature.
How is Adams going to get around the stark reality of having to arrest and jail blacks in order to lower crime? Insurmountable problem here. No political solution.

Going after legal gun owners who have done nothing is the wrong way to start out Eric. It is going to stir a giant backlash. Legal gun owners are not the problem. The problem is with illegal gun owners. Going after gangs is wise. Going after legal gun owners is stupid.
Yep, NRA members and MAGA hat wearing rightwing gangs have terrorized the streets of The City long enough. You betcha.
New Yorks decline is in overdrive. Watch the migration from blue to red to accelerate. New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco are no go zones.
Bigger problem: there's not enough jail cells to hold them.
A city government with balls would have a solution: announce effectively "shall issue" CCW, combined with a declaration that if a felon is killed by a CCW, and the shoot looks even plausibly as self defense, no charges will even be filed.
Which is just another way of saying he will enact laws that hurt the law abiding and will increase taxes on the productive to steal from them and give it to the lazy.
They could do like I heard Brazil does. Haul them 50 miles off shore and give them swimming lessons.

Well, the first murder in NY in 2022 was due to stabbing, not gunshot.
Put a $200 Bounty on Known Gang Members, Dead or Alive. The problem will go away in less than 6 months and the citizens will get much needed target practice
