The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has said that it won’t adopt federal guidelines shortening the COVID-19 isolation from 10 days to five days.
“The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) intends to review the supporting evidence behind this guidance, while awaiting additional information from the CDC, specifically for special populations and in high-risk settings,” the MDHHS said in a statement.
In the meantime, the agency said it “will retain current quarantine and isolation guidelines including guidelines for K-12 and congregate care settings,” and it added that it will update the guidance when “additional information” is available from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
On Monday, the CDC adjusted its rule shortening the isolation period for individuals who test positive but are not showing any symptoms. The agency said the first five days after someone contracts the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus is the most infectious period.
Federal officials said that lowering the quarantine time is needed to keep people working and keeping services running.
“There is the danger that there will be so many people who are being isolated who are asymptomatic for the full 10 days, you could have a major negative impact on our ability to keep society running,” White House COVID-19 adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said during a recent TV interview on the latest guideline revision.

The people keep electing them. I saw on FBN on air people rejoicing about DiBlasio leaving as mayor of NYC, after 8 YEARS! NYC deserves every bit of what DiBlasio did to them. They elected another Dem. I hope they get what they wanted, good and hard. The down side is, those that can leave, do, and vote Dem in their new homes because they are so superior to us rubes.

The media has dropped all pretense of being objective. The Dems, (communists), are openly pushing a communist agenda. The RINOs either secretly support the Dems, or are scared to lose their seat on the gravy train. And the schools are openly indoctrinating our kids. The schools have no fear, and the Dem controlled government will punish those that object to what the schools are doing.
Yes, the blue states are urban pockets, but those urban pockets are huge, big enough to overwhelm the system in the “blue states”. Additionally, there is a move left in the public. I still live in the town I grew up in. A suburb that was always right of center. Mostly Republican, with an infrequent election of a moderate Dem. Now, my city is solidly Dem/communist. A Republican couldn’t get elected to dog catcher in this city.
So yes, the people elect them, and yes, I say ‘eff them.
