Alaska Gov. Dunleavy accepts Trump endorsement conditioned upon him not endorsing Sen. Murkowski in 2022

Alaska GOP Gov. Mike Dunleavy on Thursday accepted former President Donald Trump's endorsement, which Trump had vowed to rescind if Dunleavy endorses Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

"Please tell the President thank you for the endorsement. With regard to the other issue, please tell the President he has nothing to worry about," Dunleavy said in a statement referring to Murkowski and put out by Trump. Trump made Murkowski a top target in next year's midterm elections after the senator voted to convict him in his impeachment trial earlier this year.

"This is why Mike Dunleavy of Alaska has been, and will be, a great Governor," Trump said in his Thursday evening statement.

The move from Dunleavy comes after Trump had said in a statement Tuesday, "Alaska needs Mike Dunleavy as Governor now more than ever. He has my Complete and Total Endorsement but, this endorsement is subject to his non-endorsement of Senator Lisa Murkowski who has been very bad for Alaska."

"In other words, if Mike endorses her, which is his prerogative, my endorsement of him is null and void, and of no further force or effect!" Trump added.

Smart guy.

Suck it RINOs. In case you haven’t figured it out, you are destined to LOSE this power struggle. The base is with Trump, not you.

Smart move; Murkowski sold out the Republican Party and the American people. She used Conservative’s money to campaign and get reelected but voted with Pelosi. She owes the Republican party money for using Our money and then voting with the Dems.

Will Sarah Palin, officially, run for Alaska U.S. Senate, in ‘22, or not?

Same goes for all Rinos. They should pay back Republican Donors for using their money to get elected but vote with Pelosi. Collins and Cassady to name a few, and a bunch of others.

Sarah’s a flake. Trump already endorsed Trebleka so you can assume she’s not running. Had her chance.

Murkowski is a poster child of whether 17th Amendment needs to be repealed

After serving in the Gov’s administration, Kelly left and threw her hat in the ring for the Senate seat. Trump endorsed Kelly shortly after. I think the party should open their eyes.

I am saddened that idiots in Alaska voted in ranked choice voting. This helps squishes and people with no morals, stances, or backbones get voted into office.
There is no way Dims will allow a conservative to win, so they will put Murky as their second choice, and when votes get split, she will come out on top. It sucks rocks.

Sound like governor Kemp who took Trump’s endorsement, with crossed fingers in his back, and once in office stabbed him in the back! A 🐍...DON’T TAKE THE BAIT MR PRESIDENT!

Murkowski will lose, no matter what the Dems do.

I am here and well aware. Alaska is turning more and more blue every year.
Murky got voted in by Dims in the first place when she ran her write-in campaign.

Alaska is turning more and more blue every year.

Yet Republicans control everything and President Trump won comfortably both times.

Murky got voted in by Dims in the first place when she ran her write-in campaign.

Murkowski was re-elected in 2016 with 44.4% of the vote in 2016, becoming the first person in history to win three elections to the U.S. Senate with pluralities but not majorities, having taken 48.6% in 2004 and 39.5% in 2010. She's never won a majority.
What Dem votes you talking about?
Meanwhile, President Trump won comfortably in 2020 with a majority of 52% to 42% for Dementia Joe.

Meanwhile, Trump has endorsed Assistant Democrats Micro Rubio, Moran, Grassley, Crapo, Boozman and Scott.

Do you live here?
Joe Miller won the Republican primary. He was conservative, Murky didn’t like it. Dims had a crap guy, can’t remember who he was, so Dims voted for Murky. Idiots that vote for family names instead of morals and integrity voted for Murky. Old time Repubs that are in the good old boys clubs that are invested in families, voted for Murky.
Our weak and pathetic legislature cannot pass a decent budget even though most of them claim a conservative mantle.
Moving left by all measures. You can continue to have pie in the sky claims, but you are wrong. You’ve got your head in the sand it seems.
