Wow. I used to own a home there. Louisville is (or at least was) the more sensible and Republican neighbour of Boulder.
Maybe put some money on it....there's always some smart kid that would pursue the challenge.....someone like Musk...
I was just up on the hill watching them. I saw smoke west of Longmont too.
“There has to be a way to prevent this from happening.”
It’s been blowing hard here for days off and on. Now all of a sudden all these fires break out all over the place?
My sister lives in Superior. Whole town had to evacuate.
The threw as much as they could in their pickup and headed to daughters in Fort Collins.
It is just amazing how Freepers are everywhere and in the middle everything!
I lived there in Superior for a couple of years...
Think I saw my neighborhood in the live feed.
As you may know from living on the Front Range, almost zero precipitation for the past half year. Ultra dry grass. Ultra strong winds knocked over a transformer which made sparks which made a fire. Mostly grass fire 🔥. The winds have been ultra strong and have shifted in various directions.
Looking very bad. I’ve got some relatives not far away, not going to bother them but hoping they are OK.
So true!
A good friend in Superior said she is evacuating and they have 9 puppies that are not even 2 weeks old yet!
Old Town Superior (downtown) has burned along with many homes, total homes lost so far estimated at 600. They can’t fight it, too much wind, probably loss of life it hit so fast in some areas.
Been watching CO local news online, just horrible, devastating video.
I have relatives in CO Springs who had to evacuate several years ago during fire emergency. They were spared damage.
Recently they had trees go down and no power for several days due to high wind.
