Russia has upwards of 250,000 troops and equipment within close proximity to the Ukrainian border.
Today's talk is at 3:30 Eastern. It was requested by Putin.
Troops can remain at high alert for only so long. They are there for a reason.
Perhaps Putin will not wait until January.
Perhaps today's call is not for a discussion, but for a statement from Putin - like RR's "the bombing starts in 5 minutes.

agreed. while the US mainstream media continues its simplistic Russia/Ukraine narrative, I imagine Putin has let it be known - Russia is ready to go to war immediately over lines they feel have been crossed in Ukraine

And what can or should Biden do? Personally, I don’t care if Putin takes back Russian-ethnic Ukraine or all of it. Not our problem or concern, definitely not worth a single US dollar or life. Ukraine is of no value or importance to us. I’d rather see Biden redirect efforts to the US border, that does matter, and to evicting the 30-60+ million illegals in the US.
