“California, they get you for car registration, they get you for gas. Any way that California can screw you they will,” said Hood, still sporting an Anaheim Angels cap despite switching his hometown.

Surprised the LA Times (Slimes) has anything good to say about the South. We love Nashville. If we didn't live in Texas, it would probably be TN.

Nashville is not affordable. That’s why the suburbs are so enormous.

We moved here a year ago and the suburbs are moving the same direction.

The article was a backhanded compliment. It just had to point out the locals being pushed out. Mostly blacks. Newcomers are bringing in money. Can’t hold back progress. Detroit has housing.

My daughter’s company (Capital Records) moved her offices from Studio City, CA to Nashville a couple of years ago.

Dear Nashville,
Be careful what you wish for.

Problem is, the libs among them don’t change their voting habits after they move, oblivious to the fact that that’s what ruined their former state. Somehow CA’s downfall is the fault of conservatives or Trump.

I live outside Nashville.

We’re full. All filled up.
We have no more room for Californians, Michicangans, Nyers or any other blue state Liberals who can no longer live with their own politics.

They are wrecking our state and it’s sickening.

I guess now there’s a helluva lot more than thirteen hundred and fifty two guitar pickers in Nashville now.

Trump won Tennessee by 708,764 votes. I can’t imagine Californians staying in Tennessee for the long haul.

That’s called gentrification. I sold commercial real estate in Seattle back in the early 80’s and I saw this happen to the Central District (CD). You could see the gentrification happening to large, dumpy homes one by one as they moved west from Lake Washington south of East Madison Street.

I’ve not been to that particular part of Seattle in about 20 years. I’m guessing it’s fully gentrified by now.

The Empire Way area north of S. Cloverdale was doing the same thing. BTW, It’s now called MLK Jr. way now.🤣

I should check google street view and see how it’s coming. 😉

I was in Tenn. this past Summer and we loved it there, though a bit hotter than here, not nearly as bad as Virginia was those several times I have been there during the hot weather.

I’d make the move. My son has been talking about it for quite a while.

are moving from California to Texas.

Costa Rica is looking better every day. Dallas is nothing like it was. Ft Worth is trying to hang on. Austin was gone years ago.

Born, raised, and lived my first 30+ years in Nashville. Moved away, and now going back, I don’t know the place. Everything that used to be in my area (Nations), is gone. Also the beautiful old WW2 era wood homes have been torn down to make way for “Tall ugly” houses. Sometimes 2-3 per lot. The traffic from the burbs was ALWAYS bad, (At least in my working life which began in 1985), but now, it’s even worse. It breaks my heart to see what it has become. :-(
