Republicans wasted no time slamming Joe Biden after the flip-flopping president said 'there is no federal solution' to combatting COVID-19 on Monday despite draconian measures that have included federal mask and vaccine mandates.
The GOP, citing a comment Biden made in October 2020, released a tweet implying the president did an about-face on his commitment to battling the pandemic, which has come back with a vengeance with the highest amount of cases in a day since January - before vaccines were created.
'BIDEN, TODAY: "There is no federal solution' to COVID,"' the Republican National Committee tweeted, and included footage of the president from Monday's meeting with 25 governors.
'BIDEN, 2020: "I'm going to shut down the virus."'
Biden was meeting Monday with 25 of the nation's governors - a mix of Republicans and Democrats - where he addressed the ongoing pandemic.
After his speech, Biden asked White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Jeffrey Zients to open to the floor to questions from the governors.
However, before taking any questions, Zients quickly booted the press from the room, saying: 'I think we're going to clear the press first.'
It's the latest instance of White House staffers appearing to shield the gaffe-prone president from the press. Last week, Biden cut short questions after a speech, saying: 'I'm not supposed to be having this press conference.'

I’d like someone to explain to me, perhaps using small words and short sentences, how “There is no federal solution to COVID” can possibly be taken out of context.
He’s actually right, there isn’t any federal response to combatting the virus. But he was lying the first time when he claimed there was in order to criticize President Trump. He absolutely deserves to be hoist by his own petard for that. More people have died during Biden’s time in office than in Trump’s last year. If that was a mark against Trump then its an even bigger black mark on resident Biden.
If we actually had a right leaning network, they would bring back the daily death counter.
Yep. Fundraising time. Got to convince the wealthy their money is being spent on conservative causes.

Until they allow massive use of theraputics like Ivermectin And Hydroxy will we continue to just run around in circles.
Another good step would be to arrest and put in prison Anthony Fauci,take a look at Robert F. Kennedy’s book for reference,or look up Dr. Judy Mikovits and educate yourself,also a fantastic video “Plandemic” will open your eyes

Good that biden accepts the states authority. States have the authority over VOTING too. Voting is NOT a FEDERAL issue.

The utterly incompetent GOP complaining about someone else’s incompetence is awfully hard for me to take. But Trump is doing a wonderful job of getting them all to fire themselves. I mean just look at Lizzie.
