China Develops A.I. ‘Prosecutor’ Capable of Evaluating Crimes and Filing Charges

Chinese scientists have developed an artificial intelligence (A.I.) system that can examine “evidence” and charge people with “crimes,” as defined by China’s totalitarian parody of a Western justice system.

The developers claim the A.I. prosecutor is over 97 percent accurate when it files charges.

The South China Morning Post (SCMP) on Sunday reported the system was “built and tested by the Shanghai Pudong People’s Procuratorate, the country’s largest and busiest district prosecution office.”

The project was managed by the “big data and knowledge management laboratory” at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which predicted the robo-prosecutor would reduce the workload of human prosecutors by handling routine cases, allowing them to “focus on more difficult tasks.”

Chinese prosecutors already employ a data processing tool called “System 206” that helps them “evaluate the strength of evidence, conditions for an arrest and how dangerous a suspect is considered to be to the public,” SCMP noted.

Only 97%? There are only 2 rules:

Suspect ∈ CCP = Not guilty
Suspect ∉ CCP = Guilty

The interesting thing here isn't the development of the AI prosecutor. The technology is maturing nicely, the field probably lends itself well to it etc.

What is interesting is that they chose prosecution as the area to apply AI technology. What was the thought there? "We need more and better prosecution/persecution?" Or "We have this cool new technology, what do we really want to be better at?"

In other words they didn't apply AI to say farming/food production, medicine, space flight, etc. Well, maybe they have but they're now at the point where they want more and better prosecution. What a wonderful place that these kinds of things are at the top of their to-do lists. ;-/

According to itself, it is 97 percent accurate. I think that’s what you call ‘confirmation bias’. And that doesn’t include the little freak behind the screen.
If given the evidence, what would it say about ccp human rights.

Probably more accurate than human Chinese prosecutors - way more accurate than Soros prosecutors in the USA.

Accuracy as defined by communist despots. Does that mean they will miss the 3% of free thinking subversives?

Define what is a crime against the state in a communist country and develop A.I. to find it. A Democrat’s ultimate wet dream.
