“We have really good pre-clinical animal studies and we think the phase 1 trial data is going to be promising."
Researchers with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research have spent the last two years developing a vaccine to fight all potential variants of the COVID-19 virus, Defense One first reported. While the Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle COVID-19 vaccine, called SpFN, still needs to go through phase 2 and 3 trials, the phase 1 human trials ended this month “with positive results that are undergoing final review,” according to Defense One.
The new vaccine is intended to work against the current pandemic and will also act as “a first line of defense against variants of concern” and other related viruses in the future, according to a recent Army press release.

It is a new technical approach, and a much more broadly targeted vaccine - pretty much all coronaviruses.
From the Army Press Release: “This vaccine stands out in the COVID-19 vaccine landscape”... “The repetitive and ordered display of the coronavirus spike protein on a multi-faced nanoparticle may stimulate immunity in such a way as to translate into significantly broader protection.” (said Dr. Kayvon Modjarrad, Director of the Emerging Infectious Diseases Branch at WRAIR, co-inventor of the vaccine and the U.S. Army lead for SpFN)...
“The threat from COVID-19 continues as it evolves, and eventually there will be other emerging disease threats,” said Dr. Nelson Michael, Director of the Center for Infectious Diseases Research at WRAIR. “Our investment in developing a next generation vaccine is an important step towards getting ahead of COVID-19 and future disease threats.”
Does it also solve hunger and world peace?
This is going to end poorly.
Would that be the American branch of the Chicom Army?
Also from the Army’s 16 December 2021 Press Release (https://www.wrair.army.mil/node/657):
The SpFN vaccine is a protein subunit nanoparticle vaccine platform, meaning it presents a fragment of a virus to the immune system to elicit a protective response. SpFN comprises multiple coronavirus Spike proteins linked to the surface of a multifaceted ferritin nanoparticle.
Researchers hypothesize that presenting multiple copies of Spike in an ordered fashion may be the key to inducing a potent and broad immune response.
The platform also has advantages as a potentially global vaccine because it remains stable at a wide range of temperatures. This would be especially useful in settings where ultra-cold freezers are scarce.
The SpFN vaccine is formulated with an adjuvant called ALFQ, one of the Army Liposome Formulation family of adjuvants developed by Army researchers at WRAIR. An adjuvant is a component of a vaccine that helps activate the immune system and improve immune responses. Preclinical and early clinical studies have demonstrated ALFQ to be safe and strongly potent as a vaccine adjuvant.

Question is, was it developed with feotal cells? Will it be touted for pediatric experiments?
Sick and tired of this country’s hate and normalizing violence on its children

Fort Detrick, as in bio-weapons research:
Article — “CDC Lifts Shutdown Order on Army Biolabs at Fort Detrick”
:The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention restored full operating capability to all U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) labs at Fort Detrick, Maryland, last week following a shutdown last July of some high-level facilities out of safety concerns.
“The CDC cleared USAMRIID’s Level 3 and 4 laboratories — those where the world's most dangerous pathogens are studied — for full operations March 27. The labs had been operating under partial capacity since last November, following a cease-and-desist order issued last July by the CDC over lapses in biosafety standards.
“Army officials said the biosafety lapses could be attributed to “failure of Fort Detrick’s steam sterilization plant.”

Funny one.
It would take a large panel of ex beauty contestants to pool their brains for that to happen. In their speeches through the years they set us on the path toward it, though. We just have to follow through.

People aren’t dying as fast as they want.
“Bio-weapons research.”
Biological warfare, like any other warfare, entails defense, as well as offense.
For many reasons, vaccines are among the very best defense.
China is pursuing offensive biological warfare capabilities. They were the biggest victims of biological warfare during the 20th century, at the hands of the Japanese, far exceeding the casualties of Iran/Iraq War (where Anthrax was widely dispersed).
Can’t just wish it away.
It’s called a bullet and it will only be given to those who won’t take the jab.
Maybe Burger King and McDonald's will soon offer their own self-developed vaccine. /s
You first Haley.
NOT experimental, untested mRNA?
Cool.
From the article you linked:
“We decided to take a look at the long game rather than just only focusing on the original emergence of SARS, and instead understand that viruses mutate, there will be variants that emerge, future viruses that may emerge in terms of new species. Our platform and approach will equip people to be prepared for that.”
“Question is, was it developed with feotal cells?”
I don’t know. This is a new technical approach.
According to TRADITIONALLY ACCEPTABLE vaccine testing, the next phase of trials should last another 2-3 years. Will it? Get real, it’s the next greatest invention in the history of mankind! /S
Omicron is natures vaccine, and we owe it to all those who took the vaccine and caused virtual herd immunity from the start…but not quite. It mutated to delta and the same thing happened with shot number two. It mutated to omicron so it could regain its lost hosts, but this time it had no lethality. We owe those before us who took the experimental vaccine a debt of gratitude for the way this appears to be ending.
The US Army is developing a Covid vaccine?
Is this the same US Army that forced anthrax vaccines on enlisted personnel resulting in thousands of injuries and disabilities?
No thanks.
