The West is facing a new Cuban missile crisis unless it caves in to Putin over his NATO demands 'here and now', Moscow warns as Putin stages fresh war games

The world is heading for a new Cuban missile crisis in Ukraine if the West fails to deal with Russia's security demands 'here and now', Moscow said today.

This came amid a new round of major military exercises by Vladimir Putin's troops in an evident bid to warn NATO of the seriousness of the situation ahead of the New Year.

Videos showed the latest Russian drills - some close to Ukraine - amid fears Putin will invade if the West fails to meet his demands.

Hawkish deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov denied he was exaggerating in comparing the current crisis to the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962.

'No, not too much,' he said in an interview with Mezhdunarodnaya Zhizn magazine when asked if his comparison was 'too much.'

There are fears a war could erupt between Russia and Western-ally Ukraine in the coming weeks.

Not our problem. If the EU wants to fight Russia over Ukraine that’s their business.

Many conservatives think that forever wars and color-revolutions abroad have nothing to do with our own domestic politics.

I hope now people realize that this is not true. When the CIA flipped Ukraine from Russia’s kleptocracy to America’s kleptocracy, they forced America to swallow a caner.

The US has likely already capitulated and Russia has started to draw down their troops.

Ukraine is not joining NATO, there has never been any talk of it. He says NATO as a reason to do all this nonsense

I agree. Expanding NATO to Ukraine would be nothing but a malicious poke in the eye of Russia.

Since we are now a nation of pussies who seek safe spaces and since our military is full of trannies and other misfits, I suggest we cave.

Ukraine is of zero strategic importance to the U.S. Europe? Sure. But if Russia is so dangerous, then why did Germany de-commission all its nukje plants and decide to rely on Russia for 86% of its entire energy needs?

Ukraine doesn’t even hardly begin to paint the real picture and objectives, or of how we have arrived at this point.

Leftist psyops masters have accomplished the objective of neutralizing and winning over the most conservatives.

Societies in the west are oblivious to what will in time happen here.

We have been perfect dummed down, and intentionally worn down pupils of leftist mass media and press, and are now oblivious to what is real, and the calculus involved.

Shortly after Ukraine goes down, it will be a short line to horrific kinetic WWIII.

The dumb-deaf-blind who are clueless as to what is on the plate across Eastern EUCOM, CENTCOM, AFRICOM, and Eastern Med, are going to get a terminal lesson in how dumb they are, realizing far too late how foolish and deceived they have been for many years.

Unfortunately, the shocking bloodshed coming will be only the very beginning, and necessary to purge the willfully foolish and the just plain dumb.

At the moment, many ‘conservatives’ cannot even identify many of our real enemies, and the scheme long under way.

Actually it is of great importance to them. There is a pipeline that Russia pays billions to run through the Ukraine. Now...we sanctioned Russia on several fronts. Russia was fine paying billions to Ukraine until those sanctions. Now, if they take the Ukraine, who do they need to pay those billions too?

There are basically now two pipelines ...one running to Hungary and the other to Germany. Putin is just wanting to control the resources without further interference. If that doesn't happen there is no logical reason why he shouldn't take Ukraine. And since both Hungary and Germany are dependent on these pipelines and we are heading into wintertime...half a guess where alliances will fall.

You sound like a “rah rah war guy.”

When you get off the airplane in Kiev, make sure Alexander Vindman is with you.

What is our American interest in the Ukraine?

Is NATO ready to move on this, and set up embaseEEs?

“Shortly after Ukraine goes down, it will be a short line to horrific kinetic WWIII.”

Hardly. What will very likely start WWIII is putting a NATO signatory in the border with Russia. They’ve been fighting over there for 500 years and they’ll be fighting over there for the next 500 years.

Both sides are utterly corrupt oligarchies and there are no “good guys”.

If you want to defend Ukraine buy yourself a rifle and a plane ticket.

The US is a bazillion-ty dollars in debt, being invaded every single day by hordes of migrants, having elections stolen, and Covid tyranny, but let’s forget all that and do something about Ukraine. Europe’s problem isn’t Russia; it’s mass migration, same as ours.
