Thousands of doctors and nurses across the country have been fired in recent months after refusing to take the Wuhan coronavirus vaccine.
Northwell Health, which employs more than 76,000 people as New York State’s largest healthcare provider, has fired 1,400 of its workers after they refused to get vaccinated against the coronavirus, the company announced Monday.
Now that there's a surge in cases, the CDC is invoking a contingency plan to fill the gap at hospitals and health clinics.
"Maintaining appropriate staffing in healthcare facilities is essential to providing a safe work environment for HCP and safe patient care. As the COVID-19 pandemic progresses, staffing shortages will likely occur due to HCP exposures, illness, or the need to care for family members at home. Healthcare facilities must be prepared for potential staffing shortages and have plans and processes in place to mitigate these shortages. These plans and processes include communicating with HCP about actions the facility is taking to address shortages, maintaining patient and HCP safety, and providing resources to assist HCP with anxiety and stress," the CDC states in updated guidance. "When staffing shortages are anticipated, healthcare facilities and employers, in collaboration with human resources and occupational health services, should use contingency capacity strategies to plan and prepare for mitigating this problem."
"When staffing shortages occur, healthcare facilities and employers (in collaboration with human resources and occupational health services) may need to implement crisis capacity strategies to continue to provide patient care," the guidance continues.
The White House is also grappling with how to handle a self-inflicted shortage of healthcare workers by deploying the military.
"The President is directing Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to ready an additional 1,000 service members—military doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other medical personnel—to deploy to hospitals during January and February, as needed," the White House announced on December 21. "The President is announcing that six emergency response teams—with more than 100 clinical personnel and paramedics—are deploying to six states now: Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Arizona, New Hampshire and Vermont. This is on top of the 300 federal medical personnel that we have deployed since we learned about Omicron."
Meanwhile, Biden's vaccine mandate for Medicaid and Medicare workers will be heard at the Supreme Court next week.
It’s not just staffing issues.
People ought to be asking if vaxxed employees have become superspreaders and nosocomial spread is an issue in hospitals.

I think the whole plan is to destroy the American medical system. Vaxed people are starting to die off faster. Kill off enough vaxed doctors and nurses and see what happens.
How many times do we need to prove that being vaxed does not stop a person from getting Covid? Ask a few sick people on the cruise lines.

The “vaccine” shortages were an inevitable result of telling people they’d need endless “boosters”; those that agreed to the hot shots want as many as possible (despite obvious evidence they aren’t working, and aren’t “vaccines”).
I am amazed at the lack of foresight in people today. This was as predictable as the sun rising tomorrow. Almost as bad a the idea that cutting back police will reduce crime. Liberal logic is destroying America.

The irony is these healthcare workers were called HEROS in 2020 during the height of the pandemic before the vaccines came out.
Now, a year later, they’re called selfish bastards and FIRED for refusing to take the vaccine!
They’re getting us used to having the military (NG) in the community.

People ought to be asking about "original antigenic sin."
This means the propensity of the body's immune system to raise a very specific immunological response based on a specific vaccination, when a second slightly different version of that virus is encountered. Thus the immune system "trapped" by the first response it has made to each antigen, and unable to mount a more effective response during subsequent infections.
This is a probable reason why some highly vaccinated countries are showing the highest rates of covid re-infection and hospitalization.
And the answer to problems created by liberalism is more liberalism.
I see liberals in two groups, one that are just virtue signaling narcissistic sheep with no spine to question anything that comes from the mouth of progressivism, the other knowing they’re destroying America with these ideas, which is the goal - and using the first group as useful idiots in the process.
They do not seem to know that the vast majority of people who ever got Covid had a mild case. Nor do they understand that it seems to be the original Covid was more deadly and killed mostly people who were very elderly and/or with multiple comorbidities. Delta was less lethal and more transmissible. Omicron seems to be even more transmissible but even less lethal.
We who are far more informed because we do not only consume the propaganda media, are very worried that Trump will be blamed for the negative aspects of the vaccines. The mostly liberal people on this neighborhood group seem to be very happy with the vaccines. We shall see.

Not surprised at all. In communist regimes, there are (always temporally) shortages of everything. But Brandon made a case that he would do better on Covid the centerpiece of his campaign. Here we are, year later, and even the Covid situation is worse!
