In short, the Pfizer and Moderna shots had favorable VEs for Delta though they decayed over time. In contrast, the VEs against Omicron were a low 55% and 37% respectively at 1-30 days after the second shot, and declined such that the vaccinated group had a HIGHER Omicron infection rate vs the control/unvaxxed group at 90+ days after the second shots.
The study suggests a) boosters may be needed to defeat Omicron, and/or b) you're better off without a booster or a shot, and/or, c) boosters forever.
RE: Ineffective against Omicron after a few months
Well, I guess they will have to develop a booster for Omicron, and if another variant arises, another booster, ad infinitum.
This is where the CDC is headed anyway.
You will never be considered fully vaccinated and mandates are to be expected indefinitely.
The cdc has a statement o. Their website stating that there is no test to detect any variant of covid. If this is true, then how do these studies determine who has variants and how prevalent they are?
bkmk
Also, omicron is said to be bery bery mild, so why are they needing vaccines that don’t work agaisnt it? To increase its resistance to vaccines?
I’ll stick with my 85% effective Zelenko/FLCC early treatment protocol. Wife tested positive at the nursing home she works at. Got a required follow-up test two days later which we did on our way to get her Monoclonal Antibody Infusion. Both taking all the vitamins and I’m on day three of the five day course of IVM. Both doing pretty durn good. I’m feeling well enough to go out and process some firewood in a little while. We have no idea if it’s Delta or Omicron.
The booster should win this year’s TIME Magazine thingy of the year.
