JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and veteran of South Africa's struggle against white minority rule, has died aged 90, the presidency said on Sunday.
"The passing of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is another chapter of bereavement in our nation’s farewell to a generation of outstanding South Africans who have bequeathed us a liberated South Africa," President Cyril Ramaphosa said.

Didn't know he was still alive. (Well, I guess he's not anymore.) I mean when I first saw this. I guess he wasn't then either, technically. I mean . . . Oh, never mind.

Are the Left going to pull a “McCain” and parade his body around for a couple of weeks?

It took several articles in a search, but I finally found that Tutu was the Anglican Church of Southern Africa archbishop of Capetown until 1996.
Please note that there is the more traditional Anglican Church of Southern Africa and REACH-SA, split off but still Anglican in nature.
Were they properly fed by Tutu? Not for us to decide anymore.

S Africa before Tutu and Mandela came to power were sworn Allie’s of the US, probably more so than Israel. We helped to throw their government out and bring in a bunch of Marxists.
Maybe apartheid wasn’t right but black living standards were high enough S Africa had a flood of immigrants from all over Africa.

Tutu was just one of the many racists who demanded government be used to hurt white people.

WFB once wrote that bishop Tutu was the South African equivalent of Martin Luther King Jr. in the USA. MLK received two Nobel prizes. Tutu received only one. Should not the Nobel committee have given two to Tutu too?
