Professional golfer Phil Mickelson triggered leftists on social media after asking some logical questions about the COVID-19 pandemic and its latest variant.
The 51-year-old PGA champion said he was “just curious” about some things regarding the omicron variant and posed questions that many would agree were fair things to consider, be they from politicians and public health officials or from non-experts such as Mickelson.
Serious question since I’m not a dr. If omicron is contagious but not deadly(25,000 cases in Africa with no deaths) why try and control it?” he asked in a tweet on Thursday.
“Why not let it go and let people get it and develop immunity? Especially for those who won’t get vaccinated?” he wrote, adding, “Pls no hate, I’m just curious.”
In the not-so-distant past, asking questions like these would not land someone in the line of fire but would have sparked lively debate and discourse. But in 2021, Mickelson’s straightforward queries set off criticism from lefties who, like Dr. Anthony Fauci, leave no room for logical questions about the virus and its variants.

Pretty bad when a golfer asks more sensible medical questions than the CDC, and NHI, and the doctors who are supposed to protect us.
There is no way to measure an Omicron death. It begins and ends with that. No one asked if deaths during the summer were Delta deaths or other strain deaths, because it req’d genetic sequencing and that is only done across populations.
And so, Phil, your question fails because it presumes there are no Omicron deaths, and there may be. Many. Deaths are rising in the US right now, with Omicron becoming more prominent. Now can that be if Omicron is sniffles? Deaths are rising in the UK also. And ditto.
Russia is getting smashed. Go look at their death curves.
Stop believing articles. Do your own examination of numbers, from Russia.

Actually, this Tweet response o Phil Mickelson is the most sensible of all and needs to be checked if true or false:

Phil is voicing what we knew from the beginning: the cure is worse than the disease. The Hippocratic Oath says, First, do no harm. F faced Fauci is a mass murderer.
Had they let it run back then, we likely would have achieved herd immunity very early.
The gross error was in quarantining well people in the younger sector.
Deaths in the Northern Hemisphere likely always rise in winter....

For the last two years, I played golf two to three times a week. No one caught the Covid while playing golf. Golf is the healthiest sport by far.

What does he think is happening? Those who are going to get vaccinated have gotten vaccinated. Those who haven't gotten vaccinated aren't going to, omicron or no omicron.
Besides, immunity is temporary. They guy in Texas who is listed as the first omicron death had COVID in the past and he got it again anyway.

Do some leg work and call half a dozen hospitals in your area and find out if they are overwhelmed with patients. Many diseases are not fatal, but require hospitalization. If Omicron is on path to overwhelming hospitals, it is a bad thing, regardless of fatality.
