Actually it looks better than several of the places I’ve lived. And we were happy then too.
We lived in a box off of a 14 foot box truck for a little while. Four of us and a dog. Had a wood stove in there too. Not too long after that I found this 8 acre hunk of woods and bought it, built a cabin and shop, cleared trees by hand, got the easement cut and got electric which all took about three years. We’ll be paying off the balance in lump sum in the next year or two. After that, start working on a real house. Might be done before I die.
What has that got to do with anything?
That’s not the fault of the person making the gift.
I see air conditioners and electric lines.
We have a tiny home “village” about a mile from our house. There are 40 units. Millions were spent on it. The units are insulated with electricity and a very plain plywood interior. Basically, the contents can be shoveled out and the interior washed and repainted when an occupant moves on. There are central bathrooms shared by several units. There are several full-time employees and volunteers from the church next door overseeing the place. The residents have to follow rules and most have cars and jobs. So they have not turned out to be like your typical aggressive panhandlers pushing all their possessions around in a stollen supermarket cart and leaving garbage in their wake.
It is a feel-good operation that gets government funding and could no doubt provide the same or much better services to low-income people for far less. It has had no appreciable impact on the aggressive pan handler pot smoking filthy vermin that are still staking our every corner all day long at every busy nearby intersection.
The tiny home craze faded fast. There used to be two or three shows on HGTV about tiny houses. But the public realized how impractical they are. They aren’t made to be hauled on the highway, and often cost double or more what you could get a really nice (loaded) camper or 5th wheel.

how many tiny veterans will fit into 25 tiny homes?
His shed in his back yard is bigger
I have a Ministry to the homeless and I can tell you right now but maybe 1% or veterans. And their problem is not that they’re homeless veterans a problem is that they’re drug addicts and alcoholics and that’s why they’re homeless.
So; “SCREW YOUR FREEDOM ARNIE” donated a microdrop of his money to put vets in a “TINY HOUSE”, excuse me if I just don’t give a damn.
He always has been and always will be a GIRLY MAN!
