The FBI Is Not What It Used to Be
American Thinker.com ^ | December 22, 2021 | John Green and Quentin Smith

There was a time when every kid, and a lot of cops, fantasized about becoming FBI agents. Its agents were known as the best of the best.

That was then. After Mid-Year Exam, Crossfire Hurricane, and numerous other scandals, being a part of the FBI is no longer a thing of pride. Many retired agents admit to being embarrassed and ashamed of what the bureau has become.

When it comes to preventing crime, the FBI has dropped the ball far too many times. The FBI had credible warnings about the attack on 9/11, the Pulse Nightclub slaughter, the San Bernadino shooting, the Parkland school shooting, and even the Boston Marathon bombing. Yet somehow failed to take preventive action.

They’re no longer our guardians against public corruption either. They gave Hillary Clinton a pass for her email transgressions. They did an investigation in name only, that lasted months. Oddly, the FBI never served any subpoenas. The bureau even destroyed the evidence at the conclusion of the investigation. It’s almost as if they didn’t really want to find anything -- no?

Hillary Clinton, in collusion with the DNC, orchestrated the dirtiest trick in U.S. political history -- the fabricated Trump/Russian collusion tale. The FBI learned within two months that the whole thing was a setup. Yet they played along with the plan for three years -- even to the point of affecting the 2018 midterm election. Their investigation became the famous “insurance policy” against the Trump Presidency. Rather than ferreting out corruption, the FBI became enthusiastic participants.

Go back to the 1990s and you have the FBI Lab Scandal where evidence was tainted by the FBI to incriminate the innocent.

You have the FBI files on prominent Republicans found in the White House Personnel Office under the control of Hillary Clinton.

How did the FBI, our “premier l/e agency” stray so far from its motto of fidelity, bravery, and integrity?

It has been involved in reprehensible activities:
<><>treating taxpayers’ J6 Open House as criminals
<><>creating an “insurance policy” against the peaceful transition of power,
<><>evidencing a virulent partisanship against Trump
<><>falsifying documents in unnecessary probe of Trump’s campaign,
<><>colluding against Trump,
<><>illegal attempts to prevent a Trump win,
<><>targeting parents as domestic terrorists for protecting kids from lib/prog school board atrocities,
<><>and so on and so forth ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

The answer is in the question...... its motto of fidelity, bravery, and integrity are attributes foreign to Obumma, Bidung and Democrat powermongers.

Government Gangsters once famous for going after Gangsters. But they don’t even do that anymore. Now, they have to hire a dozen ‘informants’ just to entice, coerce and entrap a single politically undesirable [deplorable] citizen.

John McClain didn’t think too highly of the FBI during the Nakatomi Plaza siege—and that was 1988

Take a Wickipedia look at the FBI's (Federal Bureau of Instigation) history, it has been ‘reorganized’ at least 4 rimes due to corruption. I can think of at least tow more times in my lifetime, it should have. This is one of several federal agencies that should be disbanded, destroyed, given the death sentence. The Nuclear Option, if you prefer. BOOM!

I worked with a mechanical engineer in the late 1980’s. He made the decision to change careers in the early 1990’s and applied to become a FBI agent. I’m thinking he was in his early 30’s. He made it through the training and became a field agent. I had limited contact over the years but did keep tabs through a mutual friend.

He reached mandatory retirement age 1-2 years ago. As far as I know, he spent his entire career living in NJ and working organized crime in the NY/NJ area.

He is/was a standup guy, god fearing, gun toting PA country boy. As I understand it, upon his retirement he had to rid his NJ home of a considerable number of firearms that the state of NJ does not allow. His spouse is native to the area which I guess is keeping him there for the time being.

I hope to reengage with at some point to hear some stories about his FBI career and hear what he has to say about his observations of the changes in the bureau over his career.

Today, being in the fbi makes you one of these douches. I mean, how do you even look at yourself in the mirror?:

“There was a time when every kid, and a lot of cops, fantasized about becoming FBI agents. Its agents were known as the best of the best.”

Only because the kiddies didn’t know the truth; the FBI has been as crooked as a dog’s hind leg since it’s inception.
Hoover was a cross dressing, probably homosexual, who was obsessed with gaining and wielding power. He kept secret files on everyone in government and high society. By the time of his death he was the single most feared person in DC.

“The FBI had credible warnings about the attack on 9/11, the Pulse Nightclub slaughter, the San Bernadino shooting, the Parkland school shooting, and even the Boston Marathon bombing. Yet somehow failed to take preventive action.”

They also had credible intelligence that the Japanese were planning something way back in 1940.
The English even sent their most knowledgeable agent, Dusko Popov, to DC to brief the U.S. on the information. Popov was sent to J Edgar Hoover who promptly insulted Popov and had him thrown out of the office.

The FBI has been a bungling bunch of backstabbers from day one.
It needs to be disbanded, all current employees banned from any government job and it’s true history shown the light of day.
