Europe's energy crisis got even worse on Tuesday as a shortage of natural gas, nuclear outages, declining wind power output, and cold weather boosted prices.

Russia's Gazprom PJSC has steadily reduced gas flows to Europe as the controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline had its certification delayed until possibly July. No new flows into Europe are forcing utilities to drain their gas storages (already at seasonal lows). Some utilities have had to restart fossil fuel generators to avoid grid disruption.
The energy crisis worsened in the last several days as France; usually, an exporter of power, has been desperately seeking imports and even restarted fuel-burning generators as the country's top power utility, Electricite de France SA, halted four nuclear reactors accounting for 10% of the country's nuclear capacity, straining power grids as the continent copes with cold weather.

There are far more radical green marxists in Europe. They don’t need to follow the American Democrat Marxists because they their own.
A time is coming soon when everyman is going to wake up and finally realize that this whole green dream is a wet dream and just not practical to keep people warm, industry running, and vehicles moving.
If only the politicians had consulted sober power engineers for an overall systems and feasibility analysis instead of listening to Greta and her ilk.

Electricite de France SA, halted four nuclear reactors accounting for 10% of the country’s nuclear capacity, and Germany has taken reactors off line which had produced 4000 megawatts and will be doing the same amount next winter because of global warning and polar bears drowning as their tiny ice burgs melt. Its for the Children!!!

The Future is clear, Ukraine will soon transit no gas until they fully comply to Russian demands, and European Nations attempting to force Ukrainian transit will freeze until Ukraine, NATO and the US comply with Russian Demands.

I don’t get how EU gas prices are about 7X present NY Futures prices (which have been flat), and there is no arbitrage taking place.
That future was clear to Ronald Reagan when he objected to Europe becoming dependent on Soviet natural gas back in the 80's.
Transport. NY Gas is here, the EU is there. LNG can make up some of the difference, but it takes time.
No pipeline from the US to the EU.
