...On Fox News on Sunday, Manchin said, “If I can’t go home and explain it to the people of West Virginia, I can’t vote for it. I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation. I just can’t. I’ve tried everything possible, I can’t get there.”
“This is a no on this legislation,” he added.
White House Press Secretary Psaki admonished Manchin for his announcement.
In an interview with radio host Hoppy Kercheval on West Virginia MetroNews on Tuesday, Manchin blamed the White House for his opposition to Build Back Better.
Manchin said that the issue from the White House was “staff driven.”
“It’s not the president, it’s the staff. And they drove some things and put some things out that were absolutely inexcusable.”
Manchin also went after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who slammed Manchin on Sunday following the West Virginia senator’s announcement on Build Back Better.
“I think Bernie yesterday, on CNN, said I want Manchin, put it on the floor. I said, Bernie, please put it on the floor. Maybe it will sink in that we have to look at a different direction than this far-reaching social agenda of yours.”

Manchin is dem in kabuki theater. He co-wrote the most anti gun legislation while Obama was prez. He needs to stay in the anti freedom party. I was living in WV at the time btw.. and yes they voted him right back in.

This is what this is about. WH Staffers were leaking to Fake News and saying that “Manchin always caves.” He got his panties in a twist over that and here we are.

But “negotiations” implies some sort of give and take ...
Problem is, there were never any real “negotiations”, because the WH refused to change anything in the Bill, they wanted everything passed as-is ... the so-called “negotiations” consisted only of intimidation sessions designed to pressure Manchin into signing
the Biden WH is totally mis-representing what happened ... THEY overplayed everything
Manchin is not a good guy. He is too far left of center.
But that must mean this bill contains provisions that are so far left that even Manchin cannot support it.

As of 12/13/21 Sinema was still a NO on the Bolshevik Bullshyte Bill.
Since chasing her into the bathroom didn’t play out well they’ve pretty much left her alone in public. The optics weren’t good.
Joe Manchin is now in the crosshairs.
