Completely brainwashed by CNN sheep who are scared of their own shadows.

Same here. Fear-porn didn’t ruin Thanksgiving, but since then, NBC / Today Show / Lester Holt / Fauxi have all worked overtime scaring the crap out of people. Now my in-laws are scared to have any Christmas gatherings because I have not been vaxxed. Somehow this was not a problem 4 weeks ago at Thanksgiving. CBSNBCABCCNNMSNBC go to hell.

Actually, that helps answer a question I had about the mortality rate of Covid in a 66 year old with no comorbidities.

Every holiday except Halloween. I noticed that everything was open for Halloween in 2020 and 2021. Not Christmas, Easter, or Independence Day.

Odd coincidence?

Those of us that gathered for Christmas last year figured out that we had more fun without the nervous nelly siblings around. Is it a coincidence that the no-shows are all liberals?/s

They’re not coming around this year either, so more pie for us!

If you believe the CDC, only 3,841 people aged 65-74 died with COVID19 alone on their death certificate (the total COVID19 + at least one other comorbidity was 80,705) in 2020.

There were 28.7MM Americans aged 65-74 in 2018, so assuming 1% annual growth in this segment through 2020, you get 29.3MM or about a 1-in-7,600 chance of dying from COVID19.

That's still lower than the chance of dying on the trek to Christmas Dinner. The comparison may even be better if you age-adjust the traffic fatality data since older (but nit beyond, say, 75) drivers are generally safer than younger drivers.

One problem….most people are not canceling their holiday celebrations. It’s only a media narrative for the elites to keep discussing.
