ROME — Pope Francis urged a group of university students Sunday to fight off the “virus of individualism” by giving their lives in service of others.
“In these confused times, made even more complex by the pandemic, I repeat to you: do not allow yourselves to be robbed of hope!” the pontiff exhorted in a video message to students at the University of Milan.

So the Pope approves of us banding together to overthrow communism - got it!
My soul isn’t individual?
Pope Soros wants you all to march happily into the ovens as a member of an identity group of your choosing when the time comes.
Pope Francis calls for cannon fodder on behalf of globohomo.
So I was right. It was the Arizona cardinals that chose him and not the Catholic bunch. He needs to go back to Argentina.
Pope Francis Tells Youth to Beware of the ‘Virus of Individualism’
—
If you are not an individual, with your own goals, your own soul, your own experience; then why even exist? As a “servant to others”? Why? Why are others more important, but your own life is not?
According to Star Trek Voyager I am unique. I however am not 7 of 9. I am just a person with my own life to live. Maybe the Pope needs pre-programmed clones to populate the planet like in Star Wars. Got to get to them early like in the gestation tubes.
Socialist once.
Socialist forever.
A Pope? No. A fool? Yes.
He falsely conflates “individualism” with “selfishness”. Individualism recognizes that rights and responsibilities belong to individuals of free will. What does that have to do with being selfish? Individualists can “give their lives in service of others”, and often do.
Communists, in spite of their rejection of the individuality of others, can be selfish, and almost always are.
This kind of thinking is why Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door.
And why the West didn’t fully blossom until the Reformation took hold.
What he really means is to serve as a group to make sure wealth flows to the catholic church and to the priests that work in that organization. They almost all end up VERY wealthy and retire some place where the members do NOT see how well they live. If people only knew the whole story...
Great question!!!
!
He’s right you know. Remember how Jesus taught absolute conformity?Everyone in the known world at the time was marching in lock step with Rome. Or was it the Philistines? Or the Samaritans? Or the Phoenicians? Or the Greeks? But it makes you wonder that if Jesus eschewed individuality, why was he crucified? But I’m sure His Holiness could explain...
The LGBQ-perversion crowd are the most radical of the individualists. The government and in some cases even the Church are trying very hard to make it difficult who are happy to make sacrifices for our families to perform our vocation.
Years ago when “Schindler's List”” first premiered, I was in NYC and went to see it with a number of colleagues. Upon the leaving the theater, a Catholic woman said to me, “What is it with these Jews and their focus on six million dead? Can't the Jews just get over it?”
I answered to place her stupid question in a frame of reference, “What is it with these Catholics who can't get over the death of one man?”
Your “Commie Pope strikes again” is interesting, given the enormous scale of deaths the world over, each to some one an INDIVDUAL.
There is no “virus of individualism.” There is the viral seduction of collectivism. One is the "antidote" for the other.
The assertion that individualism is a virus diagnoses Bergolio’s specific illness.
