Margaret Buttimer, a 66-year-old grandmother, will spend this Christmas behind bars after being sentenced to one year in prison for violating Ireland’s mask mandate, with six months of the sentence being suspended.

Don’t mess with Irish grandmothers. That’s a good way to bring generations of curses on you and your family.
This isn’t just putting a woman in prison for something that is not a crime. It is conditioning her and the rest of us to bow down and obey arbitrary orders from a corrupt government.
They will milk the epidemic as long as they can. Then it will be something else that will push us down further and further into total submission.
You have, in most “civilized” countries, administrations that are totally dedicated to the elimination and replacement of Western Civilization. USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Canada.
This is why we immigrated here. Now we gotta get rid of the commies. One way or another.
There’s plenty of room in prisons now since they released all the murderers, thieves and rapists to protect them from catching covid.
You bet he is. This is unbelievable. And Ireland with all its mandatory everything is fairing worse by far than other places with no mandates. The are proving that they are still from the same bunch of farkin idgits that were blowing each other up in the 60s and 70s.

governments are much better at doing that; and while we may sit and chuckle about it, be aware that this discrimination will be coming to this country...
Biden’s address on Tuesday will be a glimpse into our future; he will massage the soft brained among us into accepting eentual non-vaxxed access restrictions to almost all venues, including health care facilities...and he will urge those same softbrains to vent their frustration with any unvaxed they may know so as to make the discrimination more palatable...
if people start getting jailed over this, what with tensions at a boiling point after two years, it could get ugly quickly...
Could be a bad move. The Irish are famous for killing people who put them in jail.
Every member of her family & every neighbor should be out marching without masks until they get arrested, & on & on. That’s the only way to make this stop. Make them arrest everybody.

One comment on BB states she was told to leave the premises 15 times by a senior manager and refused. Thus this might have been yet another case of police arresting primarily for trespass rather than the ostensible reason given in the article. Too many misleading titles/articles.
I saw these guys live many many years ago in a nightclub in DC. One of the most fun shows I have ever been to. I think only Commander Cody was more fun.
