The newest protocols, at their very simplest, pull back on many of the old testing rules for vaccinated players. While unvaccinated players will still be tested daily, vaccinated players will only be tested if they report symptoms.

Not sure why the vaccinated players were tested in the first place. To me, that’s just stupid. Can’t use 2020’s solution to 2021’s problem especially when we have vaccines.

It's actually a good thing I think. The vast majority of players are not only vaxx'd and boosted they're asymptomatic as well. We've heard from the very beginning that the tests are very unreliable.

Over at the NHL they're looking at pausing the season. Which is excellent if your business is fear porn, but bad if you're trying to make money.

Funny how the prospect of losing huge amounts of money led the woke NFL to a more rational testing program. There is no clinical evidence that a positive COVID nasal swab in an asymptomatic, vaccinated individual has any real significance. Yet air travel, work sites and schools will continue to be disrupted by these inane screening programs.

If I were a professional athlete and saw what was happening to soccer players in Europe, I certainly wouldn’t risk another injection.

But with every passing day, protection drops. Even if this gets the NFL through the season, what about next year?

Looking at the numbers, there’s been something like 50 million ‘boosters’ given. At some point, a portion of the other 150 million who were talked into the original shots will become ‘unvaccinated’ again.
