Omicron really is that fast. At least 70 times more contagious than delta, it traveled the globe in two weeks.
It goes away fast too! And it doesn’t enter the lungs, but stays in the throat causing mostly a very mild bronchitis.
And more often just a headache for a few days.

South Africans think the west is nuts, I believe. I don’t blame them!!

Best thing is Omicron immediately pushes delta into oblivion. Like a Christmas gift from God, it will end this pandemic.

100%. Haven't looked this morning but South Africa numbers were plummeting yesterday. This is basically the same thing that happened with Sars 1 it's just taking longer. It'll be gone by spring but then the trials need to start.

There is some speculation that white hats released it.

I don't know that I believe it but I'd love to believe there are still white hats and men of integrity in high places. I see little evidence of it.

Exactly. Someone with omicron should kiss every granny in the senior homes. This is the variant to get to protect against the others.
