Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón is expanding a program to drop criminal proceedings against juveniles charged with a range of felonies, according to a leaked memo.

The Restorative Enhanced Diversion for Youth (REDY) program was launched as a pilot basis last month, and Gascón is expanding it to cover a range of felony charges, according to the memo obtained by KTTV reporter Bill Melugin.

Under the expansion, youth would be eligible for 'diversion' after being charged with burglary, assault, vehicle theft, robbery, grand theft person, sexual battery, and arson, according to the memo.

I laugh when they say crime is down. It’s not. They’re just not reporting it, or prosecuting perps for it. And then States like New York, plan to close 6 prisons. Plus, they want to take away your ability to protect yourself from these persistent felony offenders. Liberal politicians create an environment of lawlessness, and are never held accountable for it, while law abiding citizens suffer for it.
