anytime someone talks to me about “cases” I ask 3 questions:
how many of these people are sick?
how many of these sick people are sick enough to be hospitalized?
how many of them have died?
and....depending who I am speaking with I sometimes ask a follow-up question:

So it grows faster in your throat, causing you to cough and spread it, but to do that focuses less on the lungs. Hopefully that is a good sign for reduced danger.

My question is simply this. If you get Omnicron, since it is a variant of COVID, would that then provide you with natural immunity to other strains of COVID? I have heard of very few (1) cases where someone died from Omnicron, and yes, it sounds more like a bad cold. Maybe Omnicron is the herd immunity builder that we have been waiting for.
