The U.S. government withdrew Thursday from settlement negotiations to end lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who were forcibly separated under the Trump administration's zero-tolerance border policy, the American Civil Liberties Union said.
Justice Department officials informed lawyers for the plaintiffs in a conference call that the government would not offer a global settlement in family separation cases and will defend each individual suit in court, said ACLU attorney Lee Gelernt.

The fact the US government was planning to give almost $500,000 to each family “separated”, but not giving that to our military families, regular citizens, etc.
It’s absurd that someone can break the law and profit off of it. If you go to jail for murder, you don’t get to profit off the “How I Did It” book, so why does breaking into the country give you permission to profit?
A giant Class Action will be created and the attorneys will be Dem backers big-time. Money paid to settle, Attornneys filter money back to Dems. Sweet.

Interesting that they only want to pay for the separations done under Trump. Obviously child separation is only abusive and shameful when done by Trump, not when done by Obama or Biden.
