Determined to reduce childhood obesity, Mayor Lori Lightfoot moved Wednesday to stop Chicago restaurants from automatically serving kids meals with sugary, high-calorie drinks.
At a City Council meeting, Lightfoot joined City Clerk Anna Valencia in introducing an ordinance that would prohibit Chicago restaurants from serving or marketing pop and other sugary drinks as the “default beverage” with kids meals.

And please, people, stop thinking that juice is a healthier option than soda because it is not. Juice is a sugary poison developed to use fruit crops when there is too much real produce to sell.
Why don’t they fine parents who are caught allowing their kids to drink soda?
During the covid lockdowns, parks, bealches, lakes and other recreational opportunities for young folks were closed across the country and there were stories of kids being arrested for playing baseball in the park, surfing alone, etc. In one community, police removed the hoops from basketball courts to discourage basketball games.
So now you’re forcing kids to be couch potatoes and spend their day zooming, watching TV, or playing video games, and then there’s an explosion of childhood obesity. How could that possibly be? To use an expression from the sixties, well, duh!
She really doesn’t have to worry about this because the kids never make it far without being shot to death. Problem solved!

Lightfoot is performing a distraction from not cracking down on Chicago’s high murder rate, which includes more childhood fatalities than childhood fatalities due to Covid19.
Simple fix. Don’t allow any kids to eat restaurant food unless they have a “nutrition passport” showing they are under doctor’s care for weight control. Even better, expand that to the whole population of the city. And ban sales of non-diet drinks, and meals that contain more than 500 calories. And only one of those per day.
If we can save just one life….
Lightfoot wants to crack down on childhood obesity...that way, the kids will make for a smaller target when being shot at in the city.

Democrats are so good at fixing problems this will end up with a citywide hunger problem with children starving.
She already is.
She’s having residents shoot the fat right off the kids.

There are a lot of people who I think carry more fat than I think they should. NONE of my business. None of the delightful mayor’s business either.
Just put Mayor Beetlejuice’s picture on the cup. That will make them lose their appetite.
