Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., spoke at an awards event held by an affiliate of the Communist Party in his state, touting President Biden's Build Back Better plan as a promoter of "economic justice."
The Democratic senator appeared Saturday at the Connecticut People's World Committee Amistad Awards to distribute certificates of recognition to the three recipients of the awards.
Video by the communist group posted on Facebook shows emcee Ben McManus inviting members of the audience to "join the Communist Party in this epic time as we make good trouble to uproot systemic racism, retool the war economy, tax the rich, address climate change, secure voting rights and create a new socialist system that puts people, peace and planet before profits."
Blumenthal said he was there "to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees here."

And somehow the people of CT continue to elect him. These people are indeed sick and subversive, but they are simply the symptom. The real illness is that CT has enough people that would vote for this human garbage.

I wonder how the public would react if he went to a Nazi party meeting. Nazis killed 25 million, Communists killed 100 million (and counting) yet incredibly people think communism is something akin to a charity that helps the poor. I had one moron tell me last week “under communism everyone is rich”. The brainwashing is unreal.

The examples are everywhere. Some areas contain higher concentrations of stupid, but there is no place in the country that doesn’t have a significant population of stupid.

Indeed. The genius of the Founding Fathers was that Limited government was a good idea. You should basically run your own life as best you can and the government should mostly leave you alone.
But we’ve drifted from that. So many stupid voters look to the government to solve all of their problems and to take care of them. Now we have stupid people in government making stupid decisions that mess up the lives of millions of people and mishandle trillions of dollars. The solution? Well, golly, maybe more government would help ...
