No Red Kettles at my WalMart this year. There’s usually two.
Damn shame for the kids that would have benefited from the SA this Christmas, but it’s all on the Army. They got too big for their britches. Pride does ugly things.
I certainly hope organizations like Samaritans Purse can handle the influx of cash they will prolly get for the folks in KY etc since the SA will most likely have a much smaller presence than they normally would have.
This is so unfortunate but predictable. Like many others I stopped donating. There was a time when the Salvation Army was the kind of Christian Charity that our nation was founded on. In doing research on adoptions and people in need 100 years ago as part of my wife’s genealogy I discovered just how much good the the Salvation Army used to do. They were the original life centers and homes for unwed mothers. Thanks to some woke modern staffers though they threw it all away. More evidence that everything that liberals touch self destructs.
They didn’t ask their donors to apologize for anything but why not kick a dog when he’s down? Once someone says something wrong (as they did in one essay in their booklet) then they cannot be libeled anymore. You can say anything you want about them and if someone points out that it’s not true you can just show something else that they said that is wrong and that will prove that everything they were ever accused of is true.
The head of the SA was interviewed on the Shaun & Emma show on Newsmax this morning—and it was a total disappointment. All of their questions were slow-pitched softballs and none of them addressed the SA’s embrace of wokeness and CRT. Shame on you, Newsmax!
My first encounter with the SA was a warm August evening in 1969; my first day in the U.S. Army. They won me over with a simple, selfless act of charity, and I have dropped money in the red kettle every year since. Until this year. It wasn’t what they said, but why they said it. That’s why it cannot be undone.
“I should point out that the Salvation Army removed its smear of America and white Americans, but only under the excuse that it was all a misunderstanding.”
Your spouse belittles you in front of people and says they have never had any respect for you. When you out their things on the porch, they take it back and say they didn’t mean it.
That make it all better?
I used to always put some money in the bucket. But I haven’t seen them this year at all.
In past years, they were always outside of all the local grocery stores.
I felt bad walking by the SA bell ringer in front of the grocery store this afternoon, but I did it. Never used to.
All big charities seem awful to me.
Go local.
Sorry but most mainline religious groups have gone woke. Being woke is to accept agnosticism and neo pagan decadence. Rational, decent people are not being fooled.
What? You mean donations and volunteers from non-white folks hasn’t picked up the slack? What a shame. Just think of all those non-white folks they usually help not getting it this year.
I shouldn’t be so blunt, but enough is enough. I am ready to see if non-white Americans and Illegals can make it on their own.
Nolte used to be cool. Lately he splits his time between being correct and between attacking Trump supporters like me who refuse to get the phony ‘vaccine’.
here is an idea...instead of putting money in the kettle. put a slip of paper in that says the amount you are donating to a different charity that in the past would go to the salvation army.... charity is a good thing to do but We don’t need the salvation army to take care of the poor and needy. reputation in the past is what brought in donations and with one policy decision they blew up trust in how they used the charity entrusted to them.
The Salvation Army broke the Cardinal Rule: they forgot who were the people they were actually serving.
And now they can't serve them because of their foolishness.

These people basically raised my daughter, she was in SA daycare from age 3. The people running the place truly loved Jesus, that was clear to me. Don’t know what happened, but know the Devil is to blame. They won’t get another dime from me.
Unclear!
Better:
Once, every kettle I passed received a donation.
Could be improved even more, but I'm feeling minimalistic this morning.
Regards,
I received a letter from SA today asking for a donation. It’s worth a stamp to send it back with no money in it. I just haven’t decided what I want to write on the donation form.
So since many crimes are committed by young black males, do all black people have to apologize, since guilt is apparently transmitted by pigment?
A wonderful organization damaged by idiots.
