The U.S. House following a vitriolic debate passed a bill along party lines Tuesday night to create a State Department office that would counter Islamophobia worldwide. Democrats said a conflict much closer to home showed the need to confront anti-Muslim bigotry.
The bill sponsored by Rep. Ilhan Omar, (D-Minn.), picked up momentum after Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert suggested Omar, who is Muslim, was a terrorist. Democrats, including Colorado’s Ed Perlmutter and Joe Neguse, criticized Boebert in declaring their support for the measure.
The vote, on likely the last day the House is in session this year, appears to be the only action the chamber will take for now related to the ongoing dispute between the two lawmakers. The legislation passed 219-212.
A group of progressives, led by Massachusetts’ Ayanna Pressley, introduced a measure last week to strip Boebert of her committee assignments. It has not been taken up by the House and House Democratic leaders have declined to say when they will act on it, pointing to Republican leaders as the ones responsible for their member’s comments.
The Omar bill would create a State Department office, led by a presidentially appointed special envoy, to monitor for anti-Muslim violence, harassment, forced labor, reeducation and other Islamophobic acts in foreign countries.
“We must confront Islamophobia or any form of racism” wherever it is found, said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “even in these very halls.”
Omar, chief co-sponsor Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois and 32 other Democrats introduced the bill in October. It advanced in recent weeks after a late November video showed Boebert telling supporters an anecdote — disputed by Omar — in which she joked that Omar was a terrorist.

No one said anything when moslems carried box cutters onto aircraft on 9-11. 4000 people dead in the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The 4th plane crashed in a field.
No one said anything about an American Born moslem army psychiatrist who murdered 13 at Ft Hood back in 2009.
No one said anything when. in 1997, a moslem man carried a gun to the Empire State Building and shot it up, wounding seven..
No one said anything before a moslem, demanding people convert, cut off an elderly woman’s head in Moore OK a couple of years back.
April 15, 2013.-m the Boston Marathon Bombing by two moslems. Three killed, 264 injured.
And, in 2015, when someone did see something out of the ordinary in San Bernardino they said nothing as they did not want to be called a “RACIST!” 14 people died when the moslem man and woman shot up the Inland Regional Center.
We can go back farther to 1973 with the Zebra Killings in San Francisco by black moslems to today’s news of a black moslem killing people in Waukesha, Wis, to a moslem Afghani brought in by Biden who, just a few days ago, had to be shot down just a dog, when he attacked police with a knife while screaming the Jihadi cry “ʾAllāh akbar”.
And don’t get me started on “Sudden Jihadi Syndrome “ in Europe or Asia. They have their hands full with them.
Charges about Islamophobia ring hollow when protestors & opponents of the same politicians making them rot in jail without trial.
Boebert remarks should be she condemns the U.S. House Dems passing anti-Islamophobia bill. Just sayin’. So, just as an aside, how many of the voting democommes have gleefully taken in some A-stan refugees? Same number as the trespassers from the southern dividing line? It certainly ain’t a border any more. Crickets............

Even though Christianity is the most persecuted group or religion in the world. How about a bill condemning Muslim violence, which is actually a real danger instead of some imaginary PC bull?

Simple Rules of Engagement with Muslims -
If Infidels are present, Sunni with unite with Shi’a sects to enslave (physical, sex, monetary), convert, and annihilate all Infidels.
If no Infidels present, Sunni will turn against Shi’a until one or the other is enslaved or annihilated.
The rising population of Muslims over 1200 years shows the effectiveness of their tactics.
But they sure as hell want you to hate and fear republicans and conservatives of any kind. The dems social media and any form of press coverage of them is full of conservaphobia.
Because she raises money for CAIR the largest Muslim terrorist group in America???
