Attorney Michael Curran, who represented hundreds of local businesses as they peacefully protested against the lockdown orders throughout the coronavirus pandemic, now says the new statewide indoor mask mandate is not being issued by Gov. Gavin Newsom. It is only a “requirement,” that does not cite “any particular authority,” said Curran.

The only authority comes from an Emergency Powers act. If one looks at the act in NevaDUH, our useless POS gov sissypants pretty much has carte blanche. Some restrictions, but damn too few. Last legislative session the few conservatives tried to limit the time frame that the act could be in force without revue. The libs made sure that didn’t happen. :-{
Up where I live the vast majority of people don’t wear masks. And the small businesses don’t enforce the mandate.
Masses of people just do not comply.
These tyrants are out of control.
I was visiting the bay area over Thanksgiving and everybody was wearing a mask, even outdoors. The sheeple will willingly comply with Newsom.
Onondaga County in NYS has set up a rat line on its website so Karens can snitch...
I’m amazed CA hasn’t done something similar.
Sad to say here in Scottsdale AZ the # of masks seem to be on the rise. Stores I went to a month or so ago had few masked people, but now I think I’m in the minority w/o one in those same stores.
At least I’ve yet to notice a return to people wearing them outdoors or in their cars, but the trend here doesn’t look good.
The country is divided into more than states. It’s county by county and town by town and house by house.
In PA, at least the half dozen counties I roam through, maybe 1 in 4 wear a mask. Maybe less.
I could be wrong but tend to think the masked people are vaccinated and they watch msnbc.
The region is predominantly sensible conservative redneck territory. Coal country.
Stopped at a small general store the other day...signs all over the place, don’t come in without a mask. Plexiglass partition across the counter. An old couple shyly emerged from the back, to wait on me. Fully masked. Rather than hand it to me and risk fingertips touching, the man put the receipt on the counter as if it were loaded. But this is the exception to the rule. Most citizens “got over it” long ago.
