Even if the icons vote several times there aren’t enough of them to make a difference. Same with Dr Oz here in PA. In a primary he will have a hard time anywhere but democrat counties.

On October 18, former President George W. Bush will attend a fundraiser for Cheney in Dallas....Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Karl Rove, John Boehner, Paul Ryan...Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sens Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney have all donated

The above mentioned s'bags have all won elections while at the same time set policies that have destroyed America. Despite this, many in bed RINOs would still vote for them simply because that wear an "R" on their sweater. Until this stops, there is little hope to take back America.

In the end, most of these lifelong politicians are far more concerned with their own hubris and what people in the swamp think about them than their voters.

Sad fact.

They only have to bother with voters during campaign season.

Great analogy; she is just like Jeb Bush; a name with backing from the “establishment”, conniving Democrats and little else but a bowl of cash from her father’s warmonger friends who made it out of blood in needless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Support that is a mile wide among the Establishment and an inch deep in the Party. A churlish loudmouth, none too bright, easily used by the opposition who will push the one issue the elitists believe in - tax cuts for themselves, inflation, the hidden tax for everyone else while running her mouth with the party line about the January 6th “insurrection” where the only dead were peaceful demonstrators.

"If there was going to be a Never Trump candidate, I can't think of anyone better."

Good - field Cheney as the "Never Trump" candidate. We need a "Never Trump" candidate in the primaries - after she gets her 3% in Iowa and New Hampshire, maybe the GOP will finally wake up and realize that the establishment RINO BS will never sell with voters again.

Bush, Cheney, McCain, Romney - if the GOP is to have a future, worms like this need to be part of its past.

Yup, that Jackson Hole ranch queen is white toast, burnt around the edges.
How delusional is she to think conservatives will vote for the GOP mouthpiece of the Jan 6 Congressional Star Chamber, or liberals will vote for a Cheney redux.

He also had seats behind the batter at phillies games. He was there a lot before he died.

Best laugh line from the article is the idea that Cheney running for President could have any impact on Trump winning in 2024.

The Wyoming congresswoman is clearly exploring her political options and power well beyond her congressional district, even if she’s not talking openly about a run for president.

It takes some powerful weed to think Cheney has a prayer of becoming President.

Cheney is going to feel a lot more pain than just getting kicked out of office.

I am thinking Gitmo or Cachtice Castle, Slovakia.

If she is silly enough to run for the GOP nomination in 2024 I can easily predict, she will not win even one delegate.

She won’t run for president to be president, but to run to keep a true conservative or someone like Trump from winning. In their view that is a win.

They prefer Democrats to tea party members.

If she wins another race we’ll know for certain it was fixed.

Especially in the Cowboy State, where Trump won 70.4 percent of the vote.

And she's raising money like mad from icons of the Republican Party.

But none from rank and file grassroots conservatives.

So true. But I do give Specter credit for holding regular town hall meetings, unscripted. I attended two of them. According to a staffer, he made it a point to hold these meetings at least once every two years in every county of the commonwealth.

I actually felt sympathetic toward him when a woman was berating him with a question about why he didn't support a feminist written one-size-fits-all policy for national divorce law. He tried to explain why certain laws (including divorce) were the purview of the states and the concept of federalism.

Honestly, I could say that I would have had better luck explaining the concept of long division to a mule. The woman kept pushing this meme to the point that most of the audience could understand why her ex-husband divorced her and finally Specter said "Lady, you've had your question and my answer and now it is time to give someone else a turn!" There was a thunderous round of applause from the audience.

Yep, not a single one. So it demonstrates that politics is corrupt and there are "other" reasons for running for President other than actually running for President. And they wonder why non-politicians are so popular.
