For the first time, the UAC showed the S-70 Okhotnik drone equipped with a flat jet nozzle. The UAV was created by the Sukhoi company. The rollout of the new model took place at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant. V.P. Chkalov. At the Valery Chkalov Novosibirsk Aircraft Building Plant, the first prototype of the newest heavy attack unmanned aerial vehicle Sukhoi S-70 “Okhotnik” with a jet flat nozzle to further reduce thermal and radar signature was rolled out.

why does it have a window?
That’s not a window, that’s the engine inlet.
I believe that is the jet intake.
LOL - I think Hatteras was kidding.
Give it another 20 years. Manned military planes will be pretty much obsolete. And this will enable the powerful countries to really have at it, fighting each other in third world proxy nations like never before.
Where would the outcry have been during the Vietnam war if all we were losing was inexpensive drones rather than the lives of our young men?
We’re entering a completely new war era.
Just curious, you own a DJI drone?
OK, I think you are correct.
Projecting that thought, suppose a bomber is developed that drops bombs on a Hamas target that contains the protective shield of women and children. The women and children protective shields are killed. Some would argue that even though they are women and children they are justifiable casualties of a war.
Question...... since there was no pilot, who can be charged with a war crime?
Bombing has become legal. Lawyers lose control of the war
Drones have a pilot. They just don’t sit in the air vehicle. They sit at a desk many miles away.
Of course...... but learning who the pilot was and proving it in court are a different kettle of fish
Based on what I’ve seen over the last decade, I doubt anyone will believe much of anything they hear on “the news” by then. It will be mostly just entertainment. And those that “do” know what is happening will be treated as we treated “John Birchers” inthe 70’s.
I'm thinking that in another twenty years, manned anything will be obsolete, and when it happens, civilians will be the primary targets.
I hit enter too soon. My general point is this: You can’t hide the widespread deaths of american boys over there because people here are directly affected and eventually you just can’t hide it. But stuff that does not affect us directly is very different. It’s a lot easier to hide since, at it’s core, it is only “information”.
“Lawyers lose control of the war”
But what if the drones took out the lawyers?
I would hope that the U.S. would have tightly controlled and traceable “Weapons Launch Authority” procedures. In peacetime, that could go up the chain all the way to POTUS. For high value targets, POTUS could delegate down the chain if the target is fleeting.
You see, that sort of thinking is our problem. It is obsolete pacifist clap trap
Our hands have been tied by the European pacifists that have taken control of war. In our case and that of Israel, our enemies hide in plain sight knowing we are not allowed to use our air power to kill them
We know where they are hiding. We should be allowed to go there and to kill them. If they hide behind their children, that is bad luck for the children
Drones can’t Triforce...
