At least 75 federal lawmakers held shares of Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, or Pfizer in 2020. Lawmakers' holding stock in these companies has prompted ethical concerns.
Several other lawmakers traded shares of companies with a direct stake in the pandemic.
Dozens of Republican and Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill have invested in companies that have a direct stake in the nation's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to an Insider analysis of federal financial records.
In 2020, at least 13 senators and 35 US representatives held shares of Johnson & Johnson, the medical behemoth that produced the single-shot COVID-19 vaccine that more than 15 million Americans have received.

This and other types of graft are how politicians go from relatively modest middle class net worth to multimillionaires in just a few years after getting elected the first time. Insider trading is illegal for you and me, but these SOB’s do it all the time.
“Do you specifically invest in those entities who are involved in producing/manufacturing and or developing these so-called vaccines?”
I wouldn’t know, most portfolios are like a torpedo spread.
To say “no” probably wouldn’t cover the scope of your question. If my investment brokerage invests in technical stocks, perhaps a company that produces medical magnet spinners for test tubes, and they use that same technology in their pharmaceutical divisions. How would the brokerage present that partcilar line item in prospectuses?
“Once again, I don’t do public trading....”
You don’t have to. Your insurance company usees the funds to do so and increase their revenues. Your savings are used the same way, Banks don’t sit on money it is re-invested to make more capital gains for the shareholders.
Unless you are stuffing your mattress with paper money and your gold bullion is under the floorboards in your back bedroom...
Any money you put in any institution is used and invested because those institutions have stockholders and stakeholders that depend on that institution to succeed in the markets. Or they invest somewhere else.
Like it or not, the name is Capitalism.
Everyone is innocent, no one knows nothing...Just along for the ride...I’ve heard this before.
Btw, I would guess competent investors would have a good idea of what in hell they’re investing in. Then again, maybe not.
You’re the one who asked or commented about public trading.
Lemme put it this way, I don’t do stocks IRA’s, precious metals et al. But I do have a checking account. Get real.
If I’m not mistaken, Congress is exempt from the COVID mandates. Do ya think it’s a bit suspect they’re invested and possibly taking bribes to further the production/manufacturing and mandates of these questionable so called vaccinations, yet they themselves are exempt from the mandates?
“Btw, I would guess competent investors would have a good idea of what in hell they’re investing in. Then again, maybe not.”
Check the prospectus out and if it doesn’t make you happy change to another fund.
If you have money in a bank, if you have a credit cards, insurance...etc, those institutions invest the money that you put on hold there, and they did not have nor are they required to provide you with a prospectus of where they’re investing that money that you have loaned them... by proxy.
How about you? Or do you consider all of this is just the price of Capitalism?
Btw, since you have no idea what you’re specially investing in, I would guess it’s possible your giving aid and comfort to our enemies, such as Communist China etc...
I’ll tell you what you need to read a book and actually there are several books, one of them is the Motley Fool book which tells you exactly how these investment houses work.
The next thing you need to do is go have a conversation with your bank, and ask them what they do with the all the money they have in savings from all the accounts and all the money that they haven’t checking from all the accounts.
They’re not holding on to anything and it’s not transparent, it is your money but you have given permission (read the fine print) when you opened your accounts.
You got a loan on your house? Or did you have a loan on your house? Or do you have a loan on a car? Business loan? Those payments sent in are reinvested in the same way.
Financially, very little is static, it’s mind boggling.
Btw, since you have no idea what you’re specially investing in, I would guess it’s possible your giving aid and comfort to our enemies, such as Communist China etc.
Is this not true?
Btw, I try everything humanly possible not to invest, or purchase products from these big corporations who promote Communism, China, Socialism, Marxism et al.
How about you? Or do you consider all of this is just the price of Capitalism?
If ya keep evading the questions, I’ll continue to ask them.☺
“Since you have no idea what you’re specially investing in, I would guess it’s possible your giving aid and comfort to our enemies, such as Communist China etc.”
TBH I’m guessing that I have a much better idea than you presently enjoy.
As far as credit card usage and any other
utility usage or perhaps my checking account money or maybe what little money I keep in savings. You would be correct, and it applies to yourself as well.
If you purchase any product from any publicly traded company...
How would you expect to control that?
Look, having an exchange here is a give and take, you can comment, ask questions and answer questions, and I can do the same. If you’re going to habitually evade legitimate pertinent questions, there is no need to continue.
I’m not even evading anything, go look in the mirror and tell me where all those arbitrary dollars that you spend are reinvested in, it’s impossible.
What you need to do esquire, is actually read the posts that explains what you have control of, what you have a modicum of control of, and what you in reality have no control over.
See the question marks below?
Btw, I try everything humanly possible not to invest, or purchase products from these big corporations who promote Communism, China, Socialism, Marxism et al.
How about you????
Or do you consider all of this is just the price of Capitalism???
Like I said go read my posts the answers are there.
Ferrrget get...Ya won’t answer the questions because ya can’t do it honestly without looking like some kinda anti-American chump who waves his wand declaring, it’s the capitalist way, I’m innocent!
You made it inordinately clear you’re all about, profits regardless of consequence.
our politicians actions and double standards prove the kung flu is a scam...
