As a Republican, I mean. These comments are disqualifying in a Democratic primary.
DeSantis/Polis could be the fusion ticket America needs to heal.
If this post feels familiar, it’s because Jared Polis said something similar a month ago, which I wrote about at the time. He’s the only Democratic governor I know of who’s openly skeptical about the utility of extra COVID precautions, to the point where he finds himself fending off calls from the left to use his executive power to order new ones. Last month he argued that it’d be silly to issue a new mask mandate in Colorado when a neighboring state, New Mexico, already had one in effect and wasn’t faring better with COVID because of it.
Polis is a vaccine guy. Nothing protects a person from the virus like the vaccines do, he reasons, so what’s the argument for ordering lesser mitigation measures? The shots are free and ubiquitous. Go get one and then take any additional precautions you feel comfortable taking. But he’s not going to try to save you if you don’t want to save yourself. Call him a liberal-tarian.

interestingly enough, this means for Coloradans that those handful of counties whose health departments have recently issued so-called mask “mandates” have zero ability to enforce said “orders” without the Gov’s emergency order, though all of the local media go along with the pretend “mandates” and most of the sheeple dutifully wear the face diapers “mandated” by their fascist masters ...
these “orders” apply to businesses and not the customers, AND the actual order for Boulder County says businesses “SHOULD” require masks in instead of “MUST” require masks, so there’s actually no “mandate” at all ...

Folks are FINALLY waking up. This virus has been bungled from the very beginning.
Masks/vaccines/boosters/lockdowns have all been a huge mistake.
Simple meds, and protecting the obese, elderly, and immunocompromised would have been far more effective.
But, Big Brother was far more interested in controlling the citizenry.
He’d be a terrible VP, despite the article, because he is trying to hobble fracking and wants to restrict guns. He’s still a dem, and, probably a communist, even though he (correctly) thinks the pandemic emergency is over.
Wow. Maybe his husband talked some sense into him? Yes he does have a “husband”.
DeSantis would never choose Polis. One reason is Polis supports gun control whose support is falling right now because crime rates are skyrocketing:

He is smart enough to see which way the wind blows.
Rather than issue statewide edicts he devolved the responsibities to the counties and cities. Their over-reach has met with a lot of pushback. The Tri-County healthdept pissed off one of the counties to the point they dropped out. Soon, it will be down to only Arapahoe County. So much for their little exercise in empire building.
School boards have rebelled too.
Pontius Polis knows this is now a political third rail to avoid.
Actually, Polis would probably be a very strong Presidential candidate for the rats. I live in Colorado and he is doing a pretty good job. He is very much a Democrat but not hard core socialist. He is also likeable, a very good speaker and happily married to his husband to make all the woke people happy.
I don’t know if he is well connected with the big boys or not. If they tagged him to replace Kamala we would be in big trouble.
Well, that should be it for his Twitter account. I see a ban in his future.

Consider that all the states can effectively “secede” from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing the following.
Patriots need to primary federal and state elected officials who don't send voters email ASAP that clearly promises to do the following.
Federal and state lawmakers need to promise in their emails to introduce resolutions no later than 100 days after start of new legislative sessions that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to the states, the amendment limited to repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments (16&17A).
In fact, I challenge the states to ram the repeal amendment for 16&17A through the ratification process faster than Nancy Pelosi irresponsibly rammed unconstitutional Obamacare through the House. /semi-sarc
